Literally the worst restaurant service experience of my life. Cashier and I were having a polite conversation, trying to sort out a coupon issue and the manager, not trying to understand what we were talking about, told me to leave the store.
Full details:
I had trouble redeeming a coupon code – apparently the app linked it to a different location.
The coupon disappeared and was lost because of this mistake. They said call customer support. Fine.
I tried to load up new coupons and do it correctly. I didn’t want to lose another coupon.
That’s what I was talking about with the cashier.
We tried redeeming the new coupon, but the app said I wasn’t allowed to redeem it because “I had already redeemed a coupon on that visit”. Except no I hadn’t -which they knew- I wasn’t allowed to redeem it because of the wrong location and the manager rudely chided me “maybe you should read more carefully next time”.
(It was the cashier who noticed the fine print – not the Manager who was trying to make the QR code work.)
All I was doing with the cashier was trying to figure out how to redeem a new coupon properly after the first one wouldn’t work. I was also annoyed that the free sub coupon was now lost (isn’t that to be expected?)
Then the manager, who had left about 30 seconds prior, from over at the sandwich station, told me to get out! The cashier came to my defense – the manager was wildly overreacting.
So the manager said I could stay, so long as I don’t act so “pressed”. (His words, not mine – I guess he expects better poker faces when the free sub coupons of customers disappear).
No way was I going to stay after that.
I’ve never seen such an atrocious lack of professionalism.
I always had loved Cousins, but how did this location get such a wildly unprofessional manager who berates customers? Terrible terrible terrible.
Never visiting this location so long as that guy works there.

This place is great! The staff is always on point and I never have to wait very long for a sandwich. I can count on them every time on my lunch break to be fast, accurate, and delicious. Best Cousins I’ve ever been too by far.

This place has the BEST cheese curds. However, they did leave me standing at the register waiting to order for a good 5 minutes without any good reason as to why. Love the food, just wish they treated me a bit better

Terrible service and takes forever to get your order. I love Cousins, but this location is not worth going to. My order wasn’t even started 15 minutes after my pickup time and they tried charging me more.

Definitely one of the best Cousins locations I’ve visited, and I’ve tried easily a dozen or more of their establishments as this has long been my go to sub shop, and I’ve lived all over central and southeast Wisconsin. Bread and ingredients are always fresh, and the staff while generally extremely young (15-17yrs old) do a better than average job on accuracy and speed of orders. Some of the other reviews I’ve read saying the customer service was rude or inattentive at this location I think may just be that of an unnecessarily high expectation that a teenager is going to strike up a warm and meaningful conversation with you while making your sub, or changing your money. All I expect is a polite and concise confirmation of my order, the order to be correct, and for the order to be made in a timely fashion, and that has been met every time I’ve visited this location.

The prices are higher than normal. 3 subs and 1 large fry was over $30. The food was well cooked, and served appropriately well. But the portions seemed small. I had a cheesesteak and I had at least 1 1/2 inches of my bread that had no meat, cheese or even lettuce. The service was good, no complaints there.

This Cousins is outstanding. The staff is always friendly. Sometimes i ask for extra sauce or extra oil to go, never a attitude, and no charge. Had only one order wrong in 5 years (onions). I’m in Sussex, i drive farther to come here. Well worth it and then some. Well done!
