I tried the blueberry cheesecake, pretty good…not very much blueberry flavor/berries, but the cheesecake was definitely there!
The owner told us she makes all the baked goods (in the ice cream) In house, her own recipes!…the freezing is also unique in that they use liquid nitrogen to cool it.
My mom had the lemon bar, the parts with lemon curd were excellent but the other parts were not very lemony throughout the rest.
The Aztec got good ratings from my sister in law!
Hoping to get my hand on something with coffee, Oreo and maybe brownie my next time I’m in town… although we were told shipping is in the works!
Be aware of the parking which is minimal in front.
We will stop again when traveling through East Wenatchee!
The ice cream was pretty yummy, and it was interesting to try “designer ice cream.”
Honestly, though, I probably would not be able to tell the difference between this ice cream and name brand store bought if they were put into the same containers and not labeled… so I would say it wasn’t worth the price in the end.
1 pint was $12, and we tried several kinds.
1 oreo ice cream sandwich was $8 (I think).
We bought 2 Oreo ice cream sandwiches: 1 with vanilla ice cream and 1 with cheesecake ice cream, plus pints: 1 double loaded cookie monster (bright blue), 1 strawberry cheese cake, 1 peanutbutter explosion, and 1 lemon blueberry cheesecake.
Staff greeted us when we walked in but did not offer any advice or try to sell us on anything in particular.
In fact, they said absolutely nothing after the initial “hello” until we checked out.
We did not get to see nor were we offered a demonstration of their unique style of ice cream making, so that was disappointing…
Overall, it was interesting to try “designer ice cream” but, in our opinion, it was not worth the cost and we will not be returning again to this particular shop.
Wow, excellent ice cream, very rich, creamy, and with lots of deep flavor. They make batches throughout the day using nitrogen and homemade ingredients.
We carryout a half pint of:
– Aztec Treasure: chocolate, a hint of cinnamon, espresso, and brownie – excellent!!
– Peanut Butter Explosion: generous thick swirls of creamy PB cookie dough – delicious!!
So indulgent and so good my husband, who is not a fan of sweets said: “If there is a national ice cream competition, they should enter, they have a chance to win”
Legend designer ice cream is single shop the location is definitely unique.
Some of the best ice cream I/we have enjoyed in years- its quite reasonable – surprisingly no sugar rush/crash.
I do think it’s pricey though! But if you are craving ice cream, this place is a really good choice for a treat.
Service was very friendly and fast. However, the location didn’t feel so safe or appropriate.
