Well please refer to the pictures of what I actually got!
The half sub was the size of my thumb. And there was nothing I actually recognized!
I wish I could say that it still tasted amazing,
But it definitely did not.
Jessica was working the register was lovely and super sweet. Herself and her coworkers were all moving and they looked be working together so well and we’re cohesive in their work. I really liked their energy and they were welcoming to us and every single person who came into the establishment. Best customer service I’ve had in a while. Thank y’all!
My wife and I were here due to family in the hospital. On our way home we stopped at firehouse. We were feeling down and didn’t realize how close to close we had come in. We felt bad and started to apologize. Ms. Jessica wouldn’t have any of that and she gave us a warm smile and truly made our night so much better. It was just the thing we needed after a hard day. She was so bubble and sweet !! And whoever made our sandwiches was equally as kind they drew a cute image on our boxes and it made us chuckle. Thank you for being so kind.
This was my first time trying Firehouse Subs, and overall, it was a really solid experience.
Right off the bat, when I walked in to pick up my order, it honestly felt like a mini party had just broken out. They were calling out “Salazar!” loud and proud, everyone was upbeat, and the energy was great. I wouldn’t say I felt out of place—but I was definitely pleasantly surprised. Shoutout to the staff and whoever made my food, because they were genuinely friendly and set a great tone.
I ordered a medium Captain Sorensen’s Datil Pepper sub on white bread and customized it pretty heavily—banana peppers, jalapeños, Cajun mayo, ranch, salt and pepper, extra pickles, cucumber, bell peppers, Italian seasoning, and no onion (or so I thought). I also grabbed a medium Cajun sub with similar toppings.
Flavor-wise? Really good. The spices weren’t overpowering at all—just enough to add flavor. Almost slightly sweet in a good way, probably from the mix of fresh veggies like the cucumbers and bell peppers. Everything tasted fresh. Even the bacon surprised me—I’m usually not a bacon fan and tend to remove it from most things, but I actually enjoyed it here.
The pickle on the side was also a nice touch—simple, but solid.
The only small hiccups:
• I did end up with some surprise onions that I had to remove.
• Since the subs were toasted, after about a 15-minute drive home the bread softened a bit—not soggy, just softer than expected.
Because of that, I’d definitely recommend eating in-store if you can.
For about $10–$11 before tax, I think the value is fair for the quality and flavor. Overall, I’d give it a spicy 4.2 out of 5 stars—not because it’s bad (it’s not), but because even a good sub should be held to standards… and because those sneaky onions tried to crash the party.
I’d still recommend it, especially if you eat it fresh and in-store.
The staff is awesome. One young lady at the front takes your order and then yells in a sing-songy voice, “(Your Name) is in the houuuuuse!” That alone is worth five stars. Definitely above and beyond. She needs a raise, and should be promoted immediately! You have to try this place, and hopefully she’s working I will definitely be back.
This location has the cheery and jovial Jessica who took my order with such enthusiasm !
Even announcing to the crew that I was “In The House” !
My sub was delivered to my clean and spotless table very quickly and was very delicious.
The Rosedale location was quite busy at the lunchtime hour, and the employees did not let that slow them down. They continued to provide happy customer service and delicious sandwiches.
I also liked that they had preseason football on the televisions !
Thank you, Jessica, for being Awesome !
