This was a nice little BBQ place off the side on HWY 58. No issues with parking. There were some tables and it was outdoors, but no chairs or stools to sit. We had been driving for a while so not a problem to just stand. The gal there was very friendly, smiling, and gave great service. The pricing was actually really good for it being a BBQ joint and the amount of meat you get. We got the Sampler for 2-3 people and it was $33. I would give the food a 4.3/5. It had great smoky flavor, but not overpowering.

Ribs: They were fantastic! They were thick, meaty spareribs. The color, the dry rub used you can taste, and it blended well with the smoky flavor. No BBQ sauce was needed. You could take a bite, and it was firm yet tender. It was not falling apart and mushy. It was like competition style (my preferred method) and not backyard BBQ style where it falls off the bone. They also sell individual bones for $2.

Brisket: I thought it was pretty good and had potential. It had good flavor, but it was cut pretty thin and some pieces were not cut against the grain. I didn’t get good pictures of the brisket alone.

Pulled Pork: My least favorite of the 3. It had good flavor and you can see that some good bark was built on it. There were some bark included at it was good. My only issue, was that it was shredded way too thin and in smaller shreds. Shredding it that small definitely makes the pork go farther. It’s probably better for packing it on a Pulled Pork Sandwich. It kind of felt like if you were eating rice. It was pretty dry and required some BBQ sauce. In my opinion, you lose a lot of the moisture when you shred it that thin. I usually take the pork butt drippings/juice, put it through a fat separate, and then pour some of that juice back on top to keep it moist and flavorful.

Sides: They’re all cold served side. Mac Salad was tasty and wet. Coleslaw was a little dry and flavorless. It might have been made earlier and didn’t have enough time to soak the juices. Baked beans were good as well. However, those portions are pretty small. It’s like maybe a Chipotle size spoonful of the sides that you split amongst 3.

Overall, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. We were more than satisfied with everything. We will be stopping by next time we are in the area. Might have to drive down there just for the ribs!

Excellent pulled pork and a huge sandwich, friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. Was recommended to get the special of 2 sliders and chips and a drink for $10 for our children, and it was perfect for them!
Plenty of room to pull off and park an rv!

Stopped at this roadside, BBQ stand in the small town of Oakridge. The kids wanted dairy queen, I wanted something different.
Sign reads $7 & $9 meal.
The $7 was 2 pulled pork sliders
The $ 9 was two brisket sliders.
I went with the brisket.
Meat was moist and juicy, and the sandwich was stacked with slaw.
I recommend stopping here if passing through. The Guy was busy and by himself. Polite, quick service, and even better food.

Food wasn’t great. Meat was shredded to hell and didn’t look appetizing. Very little brisket in the pulled pork/brisket sandwich. Sandwich bread was thin, not toasted and was soggy by the time I made it home. All the sides are mayo based salads basically besides beans. So not many options. Staff was great, but yea won’t be coming back.

First time here and I had heard so many good things about the food, I had to stop. I ordered the rooster sandwich with a side of onion rings. It was love at first bite, the chicken fritters were perfectly seasoned and cooked to juicy perfection, as the coleslaw was fresh, crisp and not overpowering but just right.
I definitely would say the portion size would be hard for any man to complain about. The onion rings were just as crisp and tasty. I will for sure be back to try more when in town.
I would recommend this place to everyone I know.

LOVE this place! Every time we go over the mountains we stop here. My favorite: The GOAT (a combination of pulled pork and beef) topped off with their Spicy BBQ condiment sauce. My mouth is watering now at just the thought. Oh yeah.

This place is literally a shack on the side of the road. This is take out only but the A&W and Subway next door had seating outside that we were able to use. The smoked bbq pork and brisket were so tasty. We ordered the ‘Old Goat’ which mixed the pork and brisket together and served on a hoggie bun. it was enough for two people or one really hungry person. The bbq sauce choices were spicy, mild or combo of spicy and mild. The meat did not even need the sauce since it was so tender and delicious by itself. We also ordered a side of coleslaw, which was fresh with not much mayonnaise. Also, you are able to get the meat on a bed of coleslaw instead of the bun. The Smoken BBQ was an authentic and great find in the town of Oak Ridge Oregon. At first, I gave atmosphere only 2 stars and my husband pointed out that this place is surrounded by the beautiful pine trees of the great Northwest so I upped my stars.

They only have a couple of options on their menu now. Side of potato salad pictured was $4 and is ridiculously small and not even homemade.
They used to have a lot of options and sides, good portions and reasonable prices. Definitely not anymore.

This place was a little shake in a parking lot. Seen it a few times traveling by and made a poi t to try it on out latest trip. Was by far the BEST bbq I have ever had from a shop. The brisket was definitely the highlight of my meal. The pulled pork came out a tad dry but mixing it with either BBQ sauce made it almost as good as the brisket. The mild BBQ sauce was extremely good. The spicy sauce had a hidden kick and was still extremely flavorful. The ribs literally melted off thr bone into my mouth. Last, the fried pickles were the perfect texture and flavor to complement the brisket. If you drive by this place, it is a must try. I will definitely be going here again every time I drive by that way again.

The food is delicious and the prices are quite reasonable.
If they were open earlier, I would stop by to have “lunch for breakfast” on my way up to go hiking near Willamette Pass. Their recently added seating areas are great for enjoying eating outdoors while protected from the wind or rain.
