It’s one of my favorite restaurants. In fact, their sushi is among the best I’ve ever had. They truly specialize in it. Best of all, the ambiance makes you feel right at home. And as for the flavors—simply outstanding. You can indulge in every taste you desire.

“We arrived at Tokyo in Louisville around 6:30 PM. My husband and I ordered, but everything—salad, steak, and wine—was brought out together, making the meal feel rushed. The soup even came after the main dishes. Before I even finished my wine, just 35 minutes later, we were asked to leave. This isn’t a fast-food place, and we expected to enjoy the meal. The steak got cold since we had no time or space to enjoy it. I hope they reconsider their pacing, as this was disappointing, and I won’t return.”

Tokyo is definitely one of our favorite restaurants. Their sushi options are amazing and have giant pieces of fish. If you’re a non-sushi person, I’d definitely recommend the bibimbap-delicious. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Their chef, Victor, always makes my daughter her own special sushi when she comes!

Excellent sushi and sashimi at a decent price. It’s not a big restaurant in but it’s a nice place for a romantic dinner. They have a wide variety of sushi along with soups and other meals. I thought the prices were very reasonable for what you get. Very friendly service. So many choices it’s tough to choose. Worth a repeat visit

So glad I found this place! The staff was so welcoming and quick. My first visit I had the Sauteed Edamame, Temptation Roll and the Cardinal Roll (minus the wasabi mayo). All of it was fantastic! The temptation roll was probably my favorite of the two. Sushi was fresh and the portion sizes were great!! I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I think this is the is the BEST sushi in Louisville. Tokyo is locally owned and operated. I have pictures from years of going there. The food is fresh and the guys are great. Roberto and Victor work the sushi bar, which is where we always sit. My daughter loves to watch them make the rolls and they’re always so friendly. We love it here, you have to try the garlic edamame!!
