This place always hits!!! Staff is phenomenal, owner is so personable and involved in making sure his customers are pleased and comfortable and most importantly he genuinely cares about his employees too which shows in how they smile and care for the customers as well!
Food is immaculate, breakfast is absolutely next level breakfast food. From the 7-Up biscuits made completely from scratch for the biscuits and gravy, to the cheesecake stuffed cinnamon roll french toast with U.P. Maple Syrup it’s out of this world food! The BBQ is also has a rub and sauce that is and is a bit different than most Michigan BBQ joints but in a good way!!

Fletchy’s offers a new option in Grand Marais with bbq meats (brisket, pork, wings) served as bbq, with Mac n cheese, on tacos or nachos or salads. The standout here are the baked goods. The cornbread is delightful—just a hint of sweetness to it even before you add honey. A must is a cinnamon roll. They’re bigger than a large man’s hand and the perfect blend of airy and cinnamony with a tasty buttercream icing. I had a pistachio muffin that is, no exaggeration, the best muffin I’ve ever had, even finishing it the next day. Moist and bursting with flavor. The muffins are also very generously sized. The staff is small so if there are a few large parties, settle in to enjoy the view as they prepare your meal. Staff are quiet but friendly. Restaurants have come and gone in this location (we still refer to it as the old Welker’s), but I hope this one finds lasting success. Be sure to stop and check them out down by the pier when you’re in Grand Marais.

First time customer tonight. Food, staff and service was great! I had the Ribs and garluc toast with corn bread and she had smoked brisket tacos with some of the best coleslaw ive had in a long time.Best dinner we have had in years. If you like Smoked, BBq and giant pieces of delicious cornbread with butter and honey,this is the place! Although I didn’t have any, the muffins and cinnamon rolls looked VERY good. We will definatley be back when in Grand Marias. Will have to try breakfast next time.

First time. Had the bbq chicken sandwich special — 2 pieces of BBQ chicken breast, bacon, cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato, sunrise sauce all on grilled garlic toast. Came with BBQ kettle chips and soft drink. I also had a side of the redskin potato salad. Sandwich was good but impossible to eat as a sandwich as the bread was very soggy so ate with fork and knife (a steak knife would have made it easier). Chicken breast had good flavor but was a little dry. Thighs might be a better choice. Plenty of bacon and cheese. The redskin potato salad had little flavor and at $4.00 for a very small portion was not worth it – don’t bother. Good portion of kettle chips. Not sure if there are free refills on soft drink. Service was fast and friendly. Total bill $21.00+
