carnitas tacos but subbed flour for corn tortilla. Three well made tacos came w/ verte sauce They were tasty, but were missing something in the flavor profile. I tried to fix it by adding a hot sauce, but they only had Buffalo sauce. It tasted like Tabasco w/ a touch of BBQ sauce, but it overpowered them, so I ate them as is. Theybwere not that good. My guests both ordered the eggplant wrap & both said it was tasty. The eggplant was not fried, it was grilled. One said there wasn’t very much eggplant in the sandwich, the other said it was perfect, so there was either a consistency issue or the flavor just didn’t come through. We also tried the chili & the clam chowder. The chili was sweet had no heat. It was ok, I could take it or leave it. Again, not memorable except for the excessive sugar. The clam chowder was decent. Tasty. I have eaten here before & although it has never been 5 star, it was not quite as Meh as this. I would still go back mostly out of convieninece, but I would not set my expectations too high. What a shame

DELICIOUS! This is a hidden gem for sure.
The food here is amazing. Service was great. You go in and order at the counter and you are given a table number that looks like a card from a deck of cards ( really cute ) and they bring you your food once ready. Food came out really quickly and was so fresh and delicious! It was higher priced but it was worth every penny. The atmosphere was really cute and aesthetically pleasing. They also have ice cream! We didn’t partake in the ice cream but we need a reason to come back! They also have seating outback!

We’d always loved the ice cream at Grassroots but today I discovered Deep roots. I will be coming back.
It was slow on this Pre-bizzard Sunday and I think my Gyro and waffle fries were done in less than five minutes. Best Gyro I have had, Period.
This wouldn’t be my first choice for budget eating but the value is clearly there. Quality ingredients, great flavor and honest portions.
This might be the one drawback. I didn’t have room for ice cream

4.16.25 Our 1st time dining here. You walk up to the counter and order your food. They bring the food to your table, but you clean up after yourself.
Ordered a greek rice bowl, and it was ok. For some reason, I thought it’d have more items than just rice, tomato, onion, and dressing. The sorbet from Grassroots was awesome. It’s in the same restaurant area.

What a pleasant surprise to happen upon Deep Roots Street Food. The have a varied menu of street food items on the menu and all at reasonable and affordable prices.
After view the menu on the wall, just go to the counter, order what you’d like, pay and take your seat. The staff will delivery our meal and drinks to your table. The space is simple and open yet attractive. I nice place to sit back and enjoy your meal.
I have eaten there twice now and each meal was outstand.

Took my mom to this location to try it out, it has been a long time since I’ve been to Deep Roots Street food.
The place is right next to Blossom Cafe, as we entered there was a creamery ice cream section then there’s regular entrees order. There weren’t a lot of employee in sight except for one, we waited and looked at the menu.
Customer Service
The woman that rang us up and brought our food to the table, she was warm and receptive to our orders. Unfortunately, there should be two people at two spot in the building (ice cream and street food.) We waited a couple minutes as more customers came in. Both sides it is not visible if there’s customers waiting to order.
My mom got the Hosmer Mountain and Harmony Springs Cream Soda and Mediterranean Salad. 10/10
She did not realize there was dressing tucked under the bowl until after she finished her salad and she was pleased with the portion.
I got the fountain soft drink (Kola) and Vietnamese Noodle Salad. 8/10 It was a great portion size. Sides of Sweet Chili Vinegar and Pho-rrito Sacque sauces (if you like spicy) then this is the go to. The soft drink was different and not as sugary.
Overall the place was pristine and plenty tables to sit at. The price is kinda reasonable and not a lot of options or specials on the menu.
The only feedback I would advise is to have paper menu for older folks that cannot read the digital screen with little wordings from a distance.

Holy! Absolutely delicious, quality food. Speedy wait times for great meals. Everything is fresh and dishes are extremely well made. The Greek Chicken and Bacon salad had super complimentary flavors and; notably, crispy and juicy bacon bits. The waffle fries are easily some of, if not the best fries I’ve had: flavorful, crunchy, warm, and perfectly seasoned. The prices are higher, but so worth it. As many others have said, this place is such a hidden gem that you have to check out.

We used to order from here all the time. My family loved it. We’d place our order to go, wait the 20-30 minutes and pick up, bring it home. Easily spending $40+ for takeout.
Not anymore.
The last 3 times things have gotten so bad. We showed up to pick up our food and had to wait 30 more minutes. When we got home, the order was wrong, with 3 of the 5 items being incorrect. We called and they refunded us, no big deal, mistakes happen.
Since then we have been there to eat in and order out, and each time they have items out of stock (like this time it was chicken and pork), and when we did get our food, it was badly overcooked / inedible. We asked for it to be remade and we heard comments from the cook in the back complaining #awkward
The portions have gotten much smaller, the prices have gotten much higher, and the service has gotten much worse. Not sure what happened, but we won’t be going back.

Ordered my food online. Showed up 20 minutes later, there was nobody at the counter and one person in the kitchen looking at his cell phone. The person in the kitchen ignored me for 10 minutes. There was nobody working and nobody preparing my order. When I finally got the attention of the person in the kitchen he said there is a delay with the orders coming thru and told me my order just popped up in their computer. I was then told it would be another 15 minutes for my order. I asked for a refund and was told they can’t issue refunds. Very disappointed.

We love their food, but it seems like every time we order, something is missing. Like, a whole meal is missing. Last night I was handed my bag, the person read off to me what was in there, and I didn’t check because they read off what items were there. But I got home, and my husband’s meal was missing. For the cost I can’t really afford to have a whole meal missing each time. I will keep going back, but I will need to start checking everything before I leave which I hate to do
