Really great fajitas for two. Literally a vat of food and the sides that came with it were savory as well. The tomatillos hot sauce rivals the best I’ve tasted and I’ll be back for more. Many more dishes on the menu I’d like to try. Plain chips and salsa are served prior to the meal. Drinks were well made and hit the spot. If you want a taco salad you should order the one on the menu otherwise you will get something very generic like my wife did. She sent it back and ordered something else. They were gracious about it and understood completely. There may have been a slight “language barrier” happening between us and our waitress. We returned for a second time and our meals were great again. I could eat Mexican food two or three times a week so I’m running out of people to take with me to this El Cerro location! The queso cheese sauce was a perfect appetizer since the give you chips and salsa anyway. Not sure why they didn’t have Modelo light on tap but that may just have been the night I was there. Prices were modest considering the large portions. I ate almost all my food anyway. Cowboy chimichanga is my new favorite dish and my wife loves the nachos supreme!

I love this place. I love the people. Been going there for quite some time now. But the margaritas have become inconsistent. Sometimes they’re sweet sometimes they’re Tart. Sometimes they’re just right. I love margaritas. This just started over the last two or three months. I hope they get it figured out soon so I don’t have to find a new place to go and get margaritas.

Clean, bright, friendly, fast service and great food at a reasonable price. I had the burrito supreme, both the beef and chicken burritos were great, but I wanted more burrito sauce. Our party had the enchilada supreme which was very good. Several tables ordered the fajitas which looked and smelled awesome. I’ll be sure to try that at my next visit. Overall, a great place to visit if you’re looking for a great Mexican meal at a reasonable price.

I went to eat Mexican Monday evening and all I got was a small queso, a side of rice and a side of Mac and cheese the sever charged me for frys I never got. But I didn’t wanna make a deal outta of it the total came out to 19 something and I tipped 5$ in cash and filled out my receipt I out 0 in the tip and the 19 something for the total. And late last night I was looking at my banking app I seen they changed my total to 26$ something anyhoo. I gave them a call and the most they said they could do is give me a gift card. Which I live in ga so I couldn’t use the gift card, or come get the 7$ in cash I asked if they could just change the amount on my card to save me the drive from coming up here. But they said they couldn’t do that. But they could change my total to 26$?? for not even a meal. So do not recommend coming here. The food wasn’t even worth the price. And I never get online and complain but I’ve never had to deal with a situation like this. But I think the whole situation could have easily been avoided.

Our server was fabulous however our lunch was pretty blah. The chips were really hard and thick it may be personal preference but I prefer them a bit thinner and crispy. These didn’t seem very fresh. Salsa lacked any flavors except tomatoes. Not really any jalapeños or cilantro detected. Cheese dip was delicious. I got the ACP and my mother had the lunch taquitos one beef and one chicken. The meat in both of hers was super dry and lacked flavor. The guacamole served on the side was very good. The chicken in my acp was also very dry and overcooked. I had to cover it with the cheese dip and salsa to get it swallowed. That did however give it better flavor. The sweet iced tea was perfection, not to sweet or weak. This they did just right. The location seems a little run down inside. Could use some new ceiling tiles or just paint them. It really brings down the mood. Entire place needs a paint refresh. The old paint makes it look a bit dirty. Shame because it’s a really friendly place.

Was at least 4 Mexican restaurants within a few miles of each other and we took a chance on this place. Wouldn’t say anything was BAD… but nothing was really good either. Wife got a fajita quesadilla and said it was actually good, but it was half the size she expected. I got the enchiladas supreme and subbed out the chicken for two beef enchiladas and the beef was very bland and lacked flavor… my rice and beans was extremely bland. The chips were bland, hard, not very salty, the salsa was good. The interior decor was very basic. The waitresses were attentive and no complaints there. Overall I wouldn’t say this place was bad, but it wasn’t great at all. It had the lowest Google ranking out of the 4 places all in that area and now I know why.

I knew this place was going to be great!! We have an El Cerro in Wilmington,NC. The food is excellent and the beer was cold. Our waiter was excellent and the bathrooms were clean. I definitely recommend you stopping in for a bite.

Service was terrible I usually get mini chimis from other el cerro locations and it comes with a full size cheese dip and at this location they gave me like a sauce sized container of cheese dip. So i mentioned to the waitress and she was very rude and sarcastic and was not helpful. food took over 45 mins to come out and was cold. Chicken was plain and gross and waitress rarely came back to check on us and they had maybe two or three tables of other people . HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.
