The Entrée was the Jaeger Schnitzel, I chose the pork however chicken is also available, with the Spätzle Special and Pan-fried Potatoes as the two accompanying sides. Bursting with flavor and juices the Schnitzel was cooked to such perfection that my mouth was tricked into thinking I was eating a steak, not mention the mushroom gravy that I lavishly poured over it bringing it up that extra notch.
The service was impeccable and I did not lack a single thing in this entire experience. My glass was never half empty for the duration of the meal and very friendly without the need for flirtation to keep me in a pleasant mood as the food spoke for itself in that regard. If you are driving on I-24 in between Nashville and Chattanooga then take yourself a much needed respite off exit 110 and treat yourself to some delights from across the pond, your tastebuds and wallet will thank you.
We love coming here to have dinner with friends.
The Second experience was very different. Our party of four decided to eat outside in the courtyard/ concert area. Found out very quickly it was the smoking section for the restaurant which non of us enjoyed the occasional cloud of smoke coming by. The second server had no clue what gluten is let alone how to guide me even using her cellphone to call inside to see if items on the menu were gluten free. ♂️
I settled in the german potato salad cold and Bulgarian chopska salad to stay gluten free as my server advised. I got the meal and knew immediately that it wasn’t something i could eat. The mustard was very light with horseradish was very strong enough to clear the sinuses. The Bulgarian salad was nothing but chopped cucumbers, tomatoes and a few greek olives. I was very disappointed. The server asked how my meal was so I was truthful I could eat it. She apologize and said would I like something else. I asked about the French fries and she said absolutely. not long after I got my fresh fried fries. Then it hit me! was this a dedicated frier just for fries and not cross contamination with breaded items too? I went inside and saw the first server who helped us earlier that day and asked. She looked at me after I explained the situation and said no its not a dedicated frier. She was super sweet and helpful to find an alternative for me to eat after everything. The moral of this story is make sure you find someone who knows what gluten intolerance is before ordering otherwise it would have been a bad reaction for me. The staff were very accommodating which is why I gave 3 stars but be careful about allergy sensitivity here but they will make it right.
Thank you for going tge extra mile for my meal.
The restaurant is also moving to a new location as I post this by the hospital in town.
