The hibachi was great. Had takeout. The staff were very kind. Was busy. The only reason I gave them 4 stars. I ordered sushi . It was like a gumball. But the other food we ordered was great. Will come back.

This place has quite possibly the WORST customer service as far as restaurants in the Loris area goes. The food is usually ok, but between the customer service, the cleanliness, and the refusal to accommodate? Save your money and spend it elsewhere.
There have been more than one occasion where I’ve asked for an order to be made a certain way? And they’ll just absolutely refuse to make an order the way that you asked for it to be made… Even though I’m PAYING for the food to be prepared, and would like it the way that I asked for it to be made. Don’t waste your time or your money at Tokyo. Just hit one of the nicer restaurants in the town of Loris!!

Sushi was the worst I have ever had i am pregnant and asked if they make it there and I was told yes when we got it yuck… it was soggy which means it was dethawed before given to us if I was told it was frozen there I wouldn’t have eaten there at all. The other food was ok don’t recommend eating there

Absolutely disrespectful! Placed an order at the restaurant and when I got the order, it was completely incorrect from what I ordered. When I mentioned it to the guy, he told me that it was what I had ordered and I had said “shrimp 4 or 5 times”, I apologized and said that if I had did that it’s not what I meant, though I know it’s 1000% not what happened. He continued to want to argue with me and said “we’re closed and I’m not wasting the food”…I never told you to waste the food and it was an hour before closing. Eventually had him ring me up for ONE of the correct orders. As he was making it he turned to the other gentlemen to essentially talk bad on his version of what had happened so eventually I spoke up and asked him if he had never had someone make a mistake or had he never made one which resulted in a sarcastic smile and an ignorant reply. Afterwards he basically threw the CORRECT order at me. Oh! And let’s not forget to mention, though they were “closed” I listened to him take 2 more orders while waiting on the food.
I’ve worked in places similar to this and I know how frustrating it can be whenever someone tells you their order is incorrect but the way he handled it was not acceptable. Regardless if I did tell him the wrong thing or if he made it wrong, the situation could have been handled 10x better and sadly this isn’t the first time I’ve had an encounter like this.
So my take away; if you’re a young female I don’t recommend going in here alone, it seems like they like to get one over on you and essentially make you feel stupid. I never make reviews cause I understand my bad experience shouldn’t be one to weigh down a business especially a small one but this is consistent.

The guy who made our food must have been a hibachi chef elsewhere. It was as good as the big chain restaurants. It wasn’t loaded with cheap vegetables like onions. I asked it to be cooked medium rare and it was. Hands down the best hibachi outside of a large restaurant.

I have never had a bad order from this restaurant, my co workers introduce me to this place after we all wanted food for our shift. I got the steak and shrimp bowl with rice/grilled vegetable and yum yum sauce. I’m addicted. And the give you a nice portion for the price. I will definitely continue to order from here.
