Front Street Cafe was bought by Bob and Laurie Turner in August 1998 and is a family owned and operated business. Known for homemade Chicken and Dumpling soup, biscuits and gravy, extra large rolls, our in-house baked turkeys and beef (served in our hot sandwiches), Bob’s homemade Meatloaf and Chow Mein dinners. We have a full menu that includes breakfast and lunch/dinner as well as lunch specials and soup and sandwich specials.

Absolutely one of our most favorite restaurants to go to. We travel little over an hour just to enjoy there always amazing hot food, great customer service and warming welcome as soon as you enter. No matter what we have ordered we have never been disappointed and there caramel and cinnamon rolls are always something we take home with us. I highly suggest the caramel or cinnamon roll as an absolute must!!

Passing Baxter I asked for recommendations for breakfast and a lot of people recommend Front Street Cafe. I’m really glad I come here it doesn’t look fancy it’s pretty quiet breakfast is good and service is friendly and polite. Biscuits and gravy are so tasty one of the best I tried. Best cafe I have ever been to! Server was so kind and sweet, always checked on us.
and boy was the food great! Especially the chicken dumpling soup! The Cesar salad also was amazing and very filling! My grandma also had a cinnamon roll and it was huge! Also the pancakes where great!

Front Street Cafe is just a good old fashion home town diner. It’s nothing fancy just good food and plenty of it. They have a good selection of items and prices are reasonable for this day and age. Parking can be a pain and they are cash only but it’s a good place to have lunch.
