I absolutely loved this place! A hidden jewel while traveling. The prices were very fair, the waitress was awesome and the food was good. You can tell it’s a mom and pop restaurant. It is cash or checks only which wasn’t an issue. Would absolutely eat here again.

We ate at Sherry’s Family Restaurant in Star,NC. It was obvious this is a favorite eating place in the community. Our visit was made very special by Cindy, our waitress. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and like a member of the community. She was very friendly and efficient. Our food was delicious. I ordered a vegetable omelette and my two friends ordered hamburgers. They ordered the Big D and it was big!!! Lol Our food came out in a timely manner,was hot, and made to our specifications! I would recommend you try Sherry’s Family Restaurant if you are ever in Star, NC!!

With all of the positive reviews giving it a 4.3 stars, it seemed like a perfect pit stop for breakfast. We were told to sit in the back and the friendly waitress took our drink order. A round of flat sodas soon arrived. After ordering off filthy menus we noticed how dirty the table, floor, ceiling and windows were. Not sure if it was dead bugs or mold on the blinds. My son started playing drums with the very crisp bacon, I was hunting for fruit in my strawberry pancakes and the sausage and gravy had zero flavor. We’ve eaten at many small town places but never finished with such an urge to wash our hands and flee. So not sure what happened but was unfortunately a disappointment.

A nice, old-time family restaurant, we stopped at going to the beach. It was like stepping back in time as the restaurant was built in the 1950’s. Breakfast meal was pretty good and the service was great.

I came from North Georgia for the Firefest this weekend and my mom and I decided to eat at Sherry’s. How awesome it was! Prices were way better than waffle houses, and the food was as well. Our waitress was very sweet and was also hustling her butt off! Was a Great experience and I wish we had Restaurants like this where I’m from.
