Got there shortly after they opened, got the food to go, the food was excellent. They were well seasoned and very filling. I got the Philly Fake Steak sub with the Mac on the side and the power bowl with collard greens (not pictured).

Really enjoyed the Philly fake steak, mackin cheese, OG collards, strawberry & honey bun cake. Best vegan mac & Philly I’ve had thus far. Very friendly staff & atmosphere. Found this place while out of town & glad I did because I was not disappointed!

I purchased their classic banu burger, a black bean patty with peppers and onions. It was very good and reasonably priced. I plan to visit again soon! Next time I’ll request sauce on the side though as it made the burger a bit much to handle. Thank you!

I’ve been going to Banu Vegan for about a year now and every time it feels like I’m eating their dishes for the first time. I’ve tried multiple vegan spots and I can say hands down this is the best vegan resturant I’ve been too. Can’t wait to see them expand. *Warning* None of the food survived in the photos below.

Incredible….absolutelty recommend! The food and the service was some of the best I have ever had. I got the Philly and the strawberry shortcake. After mentioning how good the food was to the Chef, she came out and had a conversation with me! Which was delightful! Whenever I am in the area I will be eating here!

Ordered take out and it was AMAZING. The shrimp po boy and Cajun fries were so dang good. My only complaint is I wanted MORE. My sandwich was pretty much all bread the shrimp are small. Definitely still hungry lol.

Cute vegan spot tucked away on the corner of Roxboro and Cornwallis offering a variety of thoughtful Cajun, American, and Soul fare. Cozy cafe, great old school music, very clean, and friendly staff. I got the Skrimp Po Boy with Cajun fries, Mackincheez, and collard greens — everything was delicious and seasoned to perfection. Also very reasonably priced and Black-owned. Thank you Banu Vegan, I will be back!!

We grabbed Sunday brunch to go and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. So flavorful and incredibly tasty. Helpful and friendly staff!

We ordered (listed in order of our favorite, but seriously, loved it all): loaded omelette, OG biscuit sandwich, shrimp and grits.

Everything we had was great but I’d skip the Cajun fries. They were under cooked when we got them and the flavoring was just so so. But you don’t really go a place for the fries, the main dishes and sweet potato pie were all amazing.
