Great local friendly place for some good home cooking. Breakfast is off the charts. This is our go to place after a hard hike. Always welcoming and can’t say enough about the food. Strong recommend for some good breakfast and lunch. This place is always in back of my mind when we do a local hike! Big reward!

This is great place to grab breakfast. They have a large menu with tasty meals at a fair price. You can sit at the counter top and shoot the breeze with people or sit at a table with your group. They have quick service and the staff’s customer service is on point. They are always nice there. You can’t go wrong with eating at Vittle’s Cafe. I might eat there everyday.

With all the other cafes crowded up, this place was pretty open for being so small and quaint. I love the whole cowboy bar aesthetic. The employees were very coordinated and efficient, not to mention friendly! Some older folks dressed up in casual western cowboy clothes which was just delightful to see. The waffles, hashbrowns, and coffee were incredible. Everything else is pretty standard diner food, but that’s not bad at all for such modest pricing. Highly recommend this place. However, it is not fit for big groups.

We went at around 10:30 in the morning, and seated ourselves at a table near the front. It wasn’t busy or slow, but the service was Slow. The young lady who was our server, was also running the entire dining room, So I understand why it was slow and she did a good job. Once the food arrived, all my Complaints Melted Away. The Food was So good, with the Exception of the white sourdough toast. I had the chicken fried steak and my friend the French toast . It definitely was good home cooking and I definitely recommend having breakfast there.

“vittles” says it all. Clean old time look and feel of a diner type restaurant on Main Street in Cedar City, UT. Server was great, welcoming, friendly, timing was spot on. Food was great. I had country fried steak, awesome. My wife had pancakes with eggs and bacon. Careful when you order the pancakes. You get two that overflow a dinner plate. Price is very reasonable. We paid cash as their pos was down when we were there. Great place.

We stopped on our way out and the food was great. My country fried steak was delicious the breading/seasoning and the gravy were spot on. Honestly one of the better country fried steaks I’ve had. The service was also great and we enjoyed all the plates.

We stopped in about 30 minutes from closing time and were the only people in the restaurant. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. They had mainly breakfast items on the menu and a few lunch meals. I chose the chicken strips with fries. I received my meal last. Instead of all 4 chicken strips, I was given 2 in my basket with my fries and was told by the cook that the other 2 would be out shortly. About 5 minutes later, my additional chicken strips showed up. It was good down home food, but nothing exceptional. The staff was really nice and I’d probably return just because I like supporting local businesses rather than fast food chain restaurants.

Ive been here several times. Biscuits and gravy are good enough to go back for. Ive noticed the service is friendly if you’re a local, otherwise dont expect any kind of special treatment. They can get their food out at a decent time on weekdays. They do get busy on weekends, and you will wait a very long time. Price is a little high for what you get, but overall it isn’t bad. Good location so rent must be high. Could be worth checking out.

Quick service, good parking but food was subpar. I ordered pancakes, eggs and bacon and ask for the eggs and bacon to be cooked crispy. What I received was bacon that was limp and gross, the eggs were minimal proportion and were slightly runny for scrambled and worst of all were the pancakes. Cooked on the outside but gooey on the inside. The pancakes would stick to the roof of my mouth and tasted much like they had a bad mix that was also poorly cooked. I don’t think I will ever visit this restaurant again and will look for breakfast elsewhere.
