The “Brew Rat”

This place rocks! Service is under 10 minutes from when you place your order. You are seated very quickly. Staff is so friendly. Coffee is good. The ice tea is real good. Omelets are huge and your meal will be filling. My wife and I split our meal every time and still have some leftover. I recommend the “Popeye” omelet. Specials are on the board as soon as you walk in. Prices are great!

This is definitely a mom and pop Restaurant! If your passing through I would recommend this place. However plan to spend an hour or More. As monroeville is used to it’s slow paces. So is the restaurant. Having visited on a Saturday this place gets packed around 9:30 – 10am. Service seems to get slower. However when you get your food placed it does come out rather quickly. If you need to leave you might need to flag down a waiter if your sitting in second part of restaurant. I recommend sitting in main area near front door.
Food Quility is okay. You might need to add salt as depending on what you order pepper and salt may be needed.
Friendly atmosphere over all, the staff is very nice. If you need a bite to eat deffently come in and spend some time.

We were in Monroeville, Indiana picking up auction items right around lunch time and spotted this little restaurant, The Blueberry Pancake House. We decided to walk in and get a bite to eat. It’s an old building with old tables and booths, but sometimes places like this have the best food. My hubby ordered the sausage gravy with biscuits that came with eggs and hash brown potatoes. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries. By the way, their coffee is superb!! Anyway, my hubby said his lunch was perfectly cooked and tasted great and my cheeseburger had to be 1/2 pound of ground beef and was cooked perfect. The fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. To say the least, I was impressed and will go out of my way to return!!

Went today after church. Will go again. Large open area seating and the staff was very friendly. Food was good with large sized portions. Take cash to pay on Sunday, which is not a problem because their prices are reasonable. We paid $25 for two full servings. Very impressive menu.
