My steak was ordered medium rare and I got well done.
My daughters steak was so raw she could have roped a 1.9 on it.
My husband ordered the chop steak and it was so dry.
All 3 meats had ZERO seasoning.
Service was terrible. Every table around us complained. 1 table walked out.
We got our salad before our drinks.

I guess we will start with service. It’s bad, I mean really bad. We waited 30 minutes before our waitress came to ask us for drinks. By the time our drinks got to our table we had order our supper and already done with our salads. That was at roughly the 50 minutes of sitting down. It took another 30 minutes to get our food. That’s an hour and 20 minutes for our food to arrive in a half empty restaurant. Now the food, let’s sum it up as awful. I could have used the chopped steak as a hockey puck. The steaks have zero seasoning, no salt no pepper nothing. I had the “cowboys beans” as a side. I have never been so sure they are canned Hormel Chili. I can go on and on, It’s bad especially when you consider the prices.

The service was nice, the waitress was lovely and checked in often… however… the food….. I don’t know how you manage to cook a porter house steak rare on one side and medium well on the other but they some how pulled it off, the “cowboy beans” were just ranch style beans out of a can, the scalloped potatoes where actually pretty good and the bread were just the hoagie rolls you buy in the bag at Safeway, they just heated it up and served it with butter, it wasn’t worth $60, don’t waste your time folks

I am sorry but a place called a steak you would think they would know how to cook $50 a steak !! Ordered a ribeye medium. It came out well one end and very rare on the other, no clue how that could be cooked that way. Not only that but the steak was lukewarm. More like room temperature. Waitress offered to have it heated we said no, we will eat around it and take the rest home because we where short on time and it took 45 min to get the steak after the order. The baked potato was good along with fresh brewed ice tea

We are giving this a 5 star because the staff is wonderful. The food was good and I had no big complaints but the prime rib was not rare, still delicious though. If you are from the Midwest this felt like a 70’s steakhouse from Illinois. We would come back.

We celebrated an uncles 90th birthday with 18 people. The staff did a great job serving and attending to our requests. I loved the western feel. The food was great! We met the owner. He’s 82, and has owned it for 52 years and works there everyday. Very inspiring. Highly recommend.

If your looking for a hidden gem, you found it. Everything is great. If you always thought service like the old days would never come back, I would suggest coming here and exoerience it for yourself. I was very excited to try this steak house. I am new to the area. Charley’s was closed until the new season started. The outside of the building is so cute and inviting. The inside is old and very outdated, looking more like a banquet hall than a fine dining restaurant. They need a full remodel. Make a sit at bar and updated dining room. Get rid of the outdated wood paneling, and old bottles everywhere. The food was just ok, not at all worth the suggested price. I had the special for the evening. The portions were small compared to other restaurants with the same item. The flavor was ok, nothing exceptional. The scalloped potatoes were really greasy, you could find at any Dennys or chain. The dinner came with a dessert, which consisted of a very small scoop of ice cream with chocolate sauce. The ice cream was icy like it had thawed and was re frozen. There was a Porsche in the parking lot, maybe spend mo ey on updating this old outdated place. Make the I side as inviting as the outside. Very disappointed in this place. I had high hopes for a great place to sit for a couple hours having drinks and great food. Not this place.

I ate here with my family on a Friday night and the food was very good. The steak was flavorful and delicious. The waitresses are super sweet and Charley came out and talked with us and he was kind. I really liked the atmosphere. I enjoyed my time here.

Beautiful, clean, vintage restaurant lovingly maintained. Wonderful attentive staff. Great homemade food. Absolutely wonderful establishment with well deserved pride evident in every item brought to the table. We just split a Chicken Fried Steak and had a martini and a margarita. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us. Exceeded our expectations. We will be back.
