We dropped by this place on our last day in Hilo. This is a food truck near the daily farmers market. We ordered basil fried rice and pineapple fried rice with shrimp. Both items were super delicious . I never had any Thai food like this!
Food tasted very fresh with unique flavors. This place is a hidden gem! We ordered medium spicy but still was bit spicy for the kids. If you are in Hilo, you must give this place a try!

Food truck was nowhere to be found. Wasted 10 mins circling the spot. They didn’t pick up the call. Most of the reviews are from year(s) ago. Google needs to remove this listing if it’s not valid anymore and help us avoid wasting our time.

We ate at the Thai Smile food truck last night. It was very good! The leftovers today were just as good. I definitely recommend trying this. The shrimp popped off the tails easily. The flavor was amazing, with enough sauce and rice to get the most out of every bite.

I’m a foodie that used to live right by thai town in Los Angeles, so my standards for thai food are astronomically high. Being new to Hilo, I was super disappointed in all the thai food I came across— until I discovered thai smile. They are the real deal. Authentic, correct spicyness (actual thai spicy) and orgasmically delicious. So far I had the thai style shrimp (spicy) and pad kee mao and hot damn i kid you not, these two meals have been the best thing I ever tasted on this entire island. Give them a try— i promise you wont be disappointed.

Google map showed us incorrect location as their food truck keeps moving. Even though they get very busy they were kind enough to answer our call and explain us the directions to their location that day. Service was quick and they served some of the finest thai food I have tasted. Great work!
