Sarah’s in the City is an absolute gem! The food is phenomenal, and the service is truly over the top. The servers — Missy, Jennifer, Anna Kate, and Marie — are hands down some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Their customer service is warm, attentive, and genuinely excellent. You feel welcomed the moment you walk in.
And let me talk about the food… the pork chops are the best I have had anywhere — perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked just right. This place reflects true Southern comfort and care.
If Southern cuisine is what you desire, this place is an absolute must-visit. Great food, great people, and a great experience all around. I will definitely be back!

Was looking for a good buffet to eat at in Baxley on 2/23/20, was in town for work. Unfortunately this place was NOT it! Me & my spouse arrived at 1:45, paid and sat down to eat. Went to the salad bar and several items were out so avoided the salad. Pork chops and gizzards especially, were cold and hard without seasoning. The collard greens were almost out but I did get a scoop but they were full of stems and had no seasoning. What I saw as desert looked like slop that had been messed over. The unsweetened tea was fine. Now after all this disappointment, we noticed staff removing food from the bar, they were closing down the food bar while we were just beginning to eat. Come to find out, they closed at 2! Not one word from the young man at the register when we paid. We got up to leave and approached the same cashier and asked why we weren’t told they closed in 15 mins. because they removed the food from the bar. His reply was…oh sorry about that, yet our $24.00 was still in their register! Any establishment of the sort should always be curtious of their customers, ALWAYS…especially using God’s word on their walls. Customers should have been asked if they wanted anything else from the bar before they shut it down, there were less than 5 customers in the place. Not sure how this place has such good reviews, the food and service was unacceptable and we were robbed of $24.00 for food that was not made available to us. This place has some serious cleaning up to do and for Gods sake, if you’re not going to operate by the words on your own walls then remove them because you’re using those words for profit. You will not last long by taking people’s money either, shame on you!

Very poor selection of food only 2 meats to choose from and then the rest is sides. Very simple sides as well such as green beans and plain white rice which had no flavor. They have Donald Trump memorabilia up on the walls which was very off-putting and should not be in a restaurant! I will no longer be dining with them.

The Hidden Gem in Baxley Georgia and I will definitely be back if you’re looking for southern down home cooking Good atmosphere and real Southern Charm this is the place,and the price isn’t bad and it’s all you can eat! Do yourself a favor and go check it out!

Loved the stuffed peppers, and the apple salad was awesome!!! Good service, as well. If visiting Baxley, you need to stop in and enjoy lunch at Sarah’s in the City!
