Absolutely loved the atmosphere here! The place has a great energy inside, while the outside area is always buzzing with people, which adds to the charm. The food tastes genuinely authentic and full of flavor, and the drinks are amazing. The margaritas are creative with unique flavor options, and what really stands out is that everything is made with fresh ingredients instead of those artificial mixes. A fantastic spot all around!

I’m overdue for posting a review of this place. The photos below are from a few times we’ve visited, and I have to say this is a fantastic addition to West Arvada. They have a great happy hour, and their Taco Tuesdays are amazing if you love tacos! (All tacos $3.99)
They have a wide variety of different styles of margaritas although I still personally prefer the coin, I also had their version of an old fashioned with tequila although the name escapes me at the moment it was delicious and pictured below. Their fish taco is one of my favorites along with their shrimp taco along with their asada taco, they’re all really good!
The patio is dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for dog lovers, and the interior is beautiful as well. I really hope this location thrives! The service is outstanding, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I can’t express enough good things about this place.
And while all the staff has been excellent, shout out to Frida took care of us tonight!
I haven’t been there for brunch yet, but I plan to do that soon!
West Arvada, and surrounding areas, make this place thrive because I want it to be around for a while!

This was such a wonderful lunch spot! The staff were incredibly friendly, the restaurant was impeccably clean, and the bar seating was so comfortable. I went on taco Tuesday, so all tacos were discounted, and were SO, so good. The topping choices for each taco were delectable, especially in the vegetarian taco. Will go back!

This establishment is relatively new, however, it is a notable improvement over its predecessor, Illegal Burger. The atmosphere is more refined and upscale, and the service is impeccable. My server, Sebastian, and his team, Frida, Manuel, and Mitzi, were attentive and knowledgeable. The chef, Diego, is a culinary master whose dishes are truly exceptional.

The cutest restaurant! Excellent elote and queso. Fish taco and birria tacos were fantastic. Very fresh and flavorful. Extensive drink menu. Margaritas were excellent as well. Highly recommend!

Takiza is a hidden gem in Arvada. The food is amazing and inventive! Kudos to the chef. The margs are wildly creative. I had the lavender marg, lined with black salt and real lavender and a dried orange slice.10/10. The atmosphere is relaxed but trendy, with stylish black walls and graphics. We ordered the Takiza nachos which came out in a huge tin can. I was a little confused at first until our server removed the can to reveal a beautiful plate of pulled pork nachos. Definitely going back.

Not usually one to write negative reviews and hopefully this is more of a reflection of Sunday night than always—food was not great. I got the tacos dorados and didn’t love the soggy inside. My friend got the enchiladas and had to scrape the mole sauce off. We got guacamole and tasted like the tomatoes/corn/veggies were not very fresh plus chips were a bit stale.
The bigger downside was the service, there was only one server in the entire restaurant and he was not very attentive. The host spent most of the time sweeping which made us feel like we were intruding at 7pm on a Sunday (says they close at 9). I drank my horchata well before we got to put our order in and never was offered a refill or to get another drink. Once we finally got our food, which wasn’t great, we never got checked on to see if we needed anything else.
It then took exceptionally long to pay once our plates had been taken, I was not thrilled to spend $35+ on 3 bad tacos, mediocre guacamole, and a small horchata.

THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN THE AREA!!! Amazing tacos. As a Southern CA native, I’m very picky about my tacos and this is the place that never disappoints! Taco Tuesdays they have $3.99 tacos all day for dine-in. I look forward to it every week!

Cool vibe inside, outside gets a lot of the traffic (to be expected). The food is authentic and tasty, and the drinks are delicious. The margaritas are fun and use different flavors, but even better is that it’s all made with fresh ingredients (not all gross syrups)
