BRU Burger Bar Montgomery is the 14th BRU location established under the BRU Burger brand at Cunningham Restaurant Group. Bru is an ode to our love… the Burger. It’s a classic, purely American, and an icon. The hamburger is the people’s sandwich, everyman’s food. Paired with a beer, we can’t imagine what could be much better. Our goal is to bring you great burgers made from the best local meats, topped with the freshest ingredients and placed in our freshly baked buns.

All around above average experience. Service was pretty good with them checking in every 15-20 mins. Food portions were pretty big but the costs match that. We liked that you could customize your burger easily. Will be back again!

My boyfriend and I went here for his brother’s birthday. It is a great place for comfort food. We love going there and just vibing and always have a good time. The food is exactly what we expect and more. His brother always gets a burger. This time my boyfriend got the Patty Melt. I got the Valencia Salad with added Chicken and it was awesome That dressing slaps. Highly recommended.

We were greeted promptly at the door and seated right away, which is always appreciated—especially on a busy weekend evening. The ambiance was pleasant, and our server was friendly and attentive.
As for the food, it was just okay. The burgers were a bit dry and under-seasoned, and nothing on the menu really stood out. I’d give it a solid 3.5 stars for this type of restaurant.
Given the current dining scene and the number of places to grab a great burger, Bru Burger Bar wouldn’t be my first choice. That said, the experience wasn’t bad. We ate, we were served well, and the environment was nice—more than I can say for many spots these days.
I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to return, but I also wouldn’t discourage someone else from trying it. It’s fine—just not memorable.

Fantastic food – great tasting burgers, hot crispy fries, delicately-coated onion rings. Ketchup not from Heinz, but a touch sweet and “homemade”. A star off because of intentionally slow service – not the fault of our gracious hostess and server. Guessing it’s a corporate decision making room for more drink consumption. Then the floor was just this side of dangerously slick. Flooring may be another corporate choice, but customers shouldn’t have to wear non-slip shoes to feel safe walking. All that said, we’ll be back. Food was *very* good.

We’ve been to this location maybe a half dozen times. The food is excellent. Our favorite appetizer is the triple dip! Any burger I’ve had here has always been good. Great choice of cocktails and draft beer to choose from. Definitely recommend!

The food was not great. Ff were all burnt and full of grease..not sure why anyone thought that was ok to bring to a table. After 15 mins of waiting for our server we asked someone else if we could different ones. The ranch dressing is good.
Burgers werent worth taking home. I got the bourbon burger and it was over cooked dry and at the same time so covered in the sauce i took the bun off. Pretty much flavourless.
Service was very slow. We left most all the ffs and part of my burger and 3/4ths of my moms. My sister ate the meat on hers.
I dont believe we will be back. The establishment itself is cute.

Went here for date night. Our server was great, she was very attentive making sure we were good. I enjoyed the chicken wings and my meal was very good.

I arrived early (meeting people) I asked to be seated at a table and was promptly seated no questions asked or told to wait until the rest of my party came. Michelle (server) promptly came over and introduced herself and asked if she could get me anything while I was waiting for the rest of my party. The manager had some interaction with different customers and handled each situation with professionalism soI could tell this was going to be a good dining experience. A table of ladies were there apparently have a get together and upon them leaving I asked how they enjoyed their meal and all said it was great. So my party showed up and we ordered. The food came out and It was very well plated and it tasted great! I highly recommend this restaurant for its atmosphere, the staff and the food it was a A+ dining experience!

Had a great lunch here. Ordered the snack burger for $8 which was plenty of food! Onion rings are a 3/5 a little too greasy for my taste but still very good. The atmosphere is great. New little corner of Montgomery and I feel this little shopping eating area is a perfect addition. Still under construction in some parts outside but Bru Burger was open and finished.

BRU is one of those restaurants that tries to take a simple product and make it more than it is. The cheeseburger is notoriously known as a cheap, easy meal that can be eaten relatively quickly for a fast lunch break; it is not a luxury item. I think that BRU is a perfect example of this. It is always hard to justify a burger or chicken sandwich being $16 and I rarely have experienced this price being worth it, no matter how good it is. The “luxury” burger experience can be seen in their sauce as well; the ketchup tastes more like some barbeque sauce because they add spices and/or pepper to it, which completely changes your eating experience. BRU also does that thing I don’t particularly like, which is making every item a la carte, despite the basic assumption that a burger always includes a side, most commonly fries or chips. If I am paying $16 for a burger (or $15 for a chicken sandwich), it needs to include a side.
Overall, it wasn’t anything extravagant and I did not feel it was worth the money. If you are a big wig executive of a company and want to feel superior to the common folk that eat McDonald’s burgers, this is the place for you. The service was the best part of the meal.
