(I ordered DoorDash) I ordered the 1/2 Chicken Meal, with onion rings, fries, a side of cheese fries, and jalapeno poppers.
The food was packaged wonderfully, and was nice and hot on arrival.
Inside of the jalapeno poppers container, there were five chicken wing sized jalapeno poppers. This would be my first time trying jalapeno poppers. It was a generous portion of half a jalapeno and significant filling, to compliment. They honestly weren’t too hot and I rather enjoyed them.
Inside of the container for the rotisserie chicken, fries and onion rings, there were a few pieces of chicken and six onion rings.
The chicken had a beautiful herb-like taste to it. The chicken skin was soft and easily torn apart. The chicken meat was tender and able to be pulled away easily, while at the same time remaining juicy and flavorful. The pieces included in the half chicken were the leg, thigh, breast, and wing.
The onion rings were a lovely beer-battered type, with light fluffy crunchy breading and a nice tender onion inside. This is my favorite way to get them. These are not the cheap style crunchy-crisp ones with a hard exterior shell.
Inside of the container for the cheese fries there was a generous portion of cheese and fries with the cheese being evenly spread across the top of all the fries. The cheese fries were lovely. The fries were cooked just right and the cheese had just a slight hint of a spiced kicked to it, while remaining in the background on the edges of your tongue, not a full-frontal heated assault.
On the downside, The meal didn’t come with any napkins or utensils. Though with this kind of meal you shouldn’t necessarily need it – but it would have been nice to see that it was included, as an option…
Overall, the meal was enjoyable and I would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a new rotisserie chicken place. This one is a win in my book!

I was making a delivery at the Giant Foods Supermarket when I noticed a Ricky’s Chicken. I was not expecting a Peruvian and Mexican Cuisine, but I had walked over and committed to the place, lol. When I walked in I was greeted warmly, I had to take my time to read the menu. I Loved that there were pictures with the menu and prices shown. I tried the chicken quesadilla and it came with a salad and rice. The food was great. The service was quick. The tables were clean. They didn’t have public restrooms.

Smelled and looked awesome! So our expectations were quite high. Carne asada was tough, not hot nor warm, ordered medium…cooked well done. It was bland! 1/2 chicken was so-so. Nothing special. Taco filling was bland too! Ordered buffalo wings (charged extra for the sauce)…came plain! A night I didn’t care to spend money to try new food at a new place…& sadly, I’m very disappointed to have spent that much for subpar food.

My pick up order once I leave my job which is 15 minutes away from my house but today the chicken tasted bitter and old and it was super dry also the fries and yuca they weren’t tasty like before I’m very disappointed on wasting $35 dollars on dinner that went straight into the garbage won’t be going back here for a long time I don’t know if it’s because they have a new cook. I know they can do better sadly they won’t even offer anything for the inconvenience.

I’ve visited Ricky’s Chicken several times, hoping for an improvement in service, but unfortunately, each visit has been worse than the last. The staff is consistently rude and inattentive, even when I’ve been polite and patient. My most recent experience has prompted this review due to their complete lack of customer service and the expectation of tips for takeout orders. It’s incredibly off-putting to be pressured for a tip when simply picking up food, and the staff’s visibly disgruntled reaction when no tip is given is unacceptable.
Beyond the poor service, the chicken itself is mediocre at best. It doesn’t live up to the authentic Peruvian flavors I’ve come to expect. Furthermore, the sauces consistently have a sour taste, raising concerns about their freshness and safety. Overall, I cannot recommend Ricky’s Chicken due to the combination of rude staff, subpar food, and questionable sauce quality.

This places used to be good when the owners where there. Now the girl they have at the register is the rudest more careless employee I’ve ever experienced. She has an attitude, is short with you and when she goes to the back to help with the orders she doesn’t care about your food. I watched her take fries out of the fryer and dump them straight into a bowl without draining any excess oil. She gave me a melting Styrofoam container with oil drenched fries, how appetizing. Then when you bring it to her attention she says that’s how fries are made and acts like you are in the wrong. I run multiple restaurants, food trucks and a catering department, so NO thats not how fries are made, you are supposed to drain the excess oil and if ever using Styrofoam you have to line the container. After I asked for a refund because she refused to make the fries correctly she simply said well then don’t come back again. That great customer service, that one single employee is going to cost you Thousands of dollars in repeat business and customers who used to come here on a regular basis. Get rid of her or add a 3rd person to help them because the girl at the cashier is not a good representation for your business.

On Wednesday 18,2024 at 9pm I ordered a whole chicken plus a half chicken with 4 sides. The total came out to be 66$ when I got there but on the phone she had told me it was $53, our cashier was very rude, she was a tan Hispanic lady with big eyes and black long hair. She had put yellow rice when I wanted white rice, I expressed my preference about what rice I wanted and she gave me attitude. She rolled her eyes at us and stated “You didn’t even say anything about the rice and I don’t even know if I have enough, I think I have 1 container left from the day “ but made it clear that what I was asking was a hassle and she obviously didn’t want to accommodate. We ended up leaving instead because 1 she was being very off putting towards us and she couldn’t change 1 thing for us even though we were paying almost $70, she could have explained kindly if it really was something out of her control but no she was obnoxious and made it seem like i was just annoying her with my request. Lost a customer just because of her attitude.
