We had a graduation party and ran out of chicken, we called and they gave us every piece of chicken in the restaurant and stayed late to prepare it for us. Today we tried the breakfast and it was fantastic. Highly recommended and our waitress was the best! They did run out of biscuits and gravy but that just gives us a reason to go back! 3 eggs, ham, potatoes, toast and a pancake for $10. New favorite restaurant!!!!

Fantastic. Server was great. Drinks never ran low. Very important to me. Food was delicious. Came out fast and hot. Love the momma poppa feel & neat train atmosphere. Great job guys! Ceiling Tiles inside are do to be replaced and some fininshing touches of paint outside would be my only criticism but everything else made up for it. Still 5 star service & food. We will be back.

The only time I’ve been in here and they treated us so great! The caterer at my in laws graduation party ran out of food and no place nearby could help us out. Downtown Depot stepped up big time! They stayed open later on a Sunday, just for us. They cooked up every last piece of chicken they had just for us (which was delicious). What a blessing!

This was our first time here and we were very pleased. Service was excellent and the food was great. The other customers are very friendly too, since seating is kinda close it helps. By the name you can tell it’s a railroad setting and nicely done. I’d highly recommend this restaurant.

I like supporting independent businesses. The guys at work and I get breakfast here sometimes This place is a middle-of-the-road diner, not great, not bad. They serve a real big burger with bacon and two types of cheese, mushrooms and some of the strangest burger sauce I ever had (I think it has caraway seeds in it) I get it without sauce. The breakfast is good and they have daily specials.

I was a resident of Knox Indiana when I discovered Downtown Depot. It was the first place in Knox, where I did not have to wait or ask for a fill up on my coffee. So service is awesome. Then the food is great too, very delicious and good size portions. Well worth the money, and the atmosphere is very friendly and family feel. I highly recommend Downtown Depot for a great meal and excellent service. The Best in Knox Indiana!!!

Obviously, the local folk know about the Depot and keep it from visitors like me and my wife. Not cool! Well, to bad; we found out about the Downtown Depot eatery.
Breakfast is serious business to me and my wife. We wake up late and require a good breakfast the way we want it. Also, a cup of coffee and coke. Downtown Depot has the coffee but not the coke. Oh well, can have it all.
However, the food is great. We had the Santa Fe skillet. A tasty dish with plenty of food enough for both of us. We ordered a couple of sandwiches for later and the verdict is held until consumption.
Don’t wait! We met Rob, the owner. He greeted us with a smile and made sure everything was to our liking. Thanks for a great experience.

The restaurant did not look bad in itself. Very much a mom and pop kind of place. Only one waitress on duty and she was sick as a dog. Sniffling and wiping her nose with her hand. It was so gross. I did not want to eat the food. She kept sniffling in my ear. I ordered a burger and onion rings. The onion rings were really small but tastey. The burger was huge and not well seasoned. I only at a portion of the burger. I was throughly grossed and will not ever eat there again. My stomach flips and I dry heave just thinking about the place.
