I’ve had both Pat’s and Geno’s steaks from Philly. I thought they were both great, but I liked Pat’s better. I’ve been trying to find a spot on Long Island that comes close to their cheesesteaks. I decided to give More Steak Than Philly a try. I ordered a classic philly cheesesteak. Steak, yellow cheese and onions. Their bread is all right, sandwich is smaller than some spots I’ve tried. The steak was terrible, tasted like steak-ums. What really screwed up the sandwich was the fact that their very little amount of onions and cheese was on the bottom of the sandwich. Very odd, needless to say the cheese soaked into the bread making the sandwich dry. Wanted to like this place so much after the good reviews.

I’ve enjoyed cheesesteaks while in Philadelphia from several locations, including the most famous spots. “More Steak Than Philly” is as good as any of those found in the City of Brotherly Love…and better than some!
There is plenty of steak to feast on, and it’s as tender and flavorful as any I’ve had in Philly. The rolls are a bit “doughy”, but that’s probably a matter of preference.
This place is very small, with minimal seating capacity (no tables, just a few stools). It is basically a take-out spot. They truly need to address the appearance of the front of the restaurant, as it is really plain looking, with very little to promote the deliciousness that these cheesesteaks represent.
They have a nice variety of cheesesteaks to choose from. Every type I’ve had has been excellent. The pricing is on par with what you’d pay in Philly.
For a truly delicious cheesesteak, I recommend this restaurant!

Its hard to find good cheesestakes outside of Philadelphia but More Steak Than Philly comes thru in the clutch! The steaks are great, all the food is great, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.

Great cheesesteaks! If you are thinking of going, just go. Good food and good portions. The only thing missing is seating, so it is definitely a take-out place. There is a counter however, that you can stand at and eat, which is what I did. Overall it was a good food experience.

Ordered 2 chicken philly steaks, fries which turnt out to be curly fries, whiting sandwich and fried chicken wings…..after reading the reviews we wanted to try this place …..soooooooooo disappointed. .fries were curly fries and soaked in oil went straight to garbage. ..fish was crazy salty, and oily..was cooked together with the fries..the chicken wings was the best thing!!! My first and last for this place…was really hoping for this to be a good experience based on the reviews I read..
