Stopped in today and wow — this spot is giving real hometown vibes in the best way. The folks here are so warm and welcoming, it feels like you’re eating with family.
And the food? Listen… the OXTAIL was absolutely BOMB. Tender, rich, packed with flavor — I’m still thinking about it. Everything else we tried was delicious too, but that oxtail alone is worth the trip.
If you want good food, good people, and that cozy local feel, Virgie Ree’s is where it’s at. Do yourself a favor and go eat here — you’ll leave full and happy.

4.5 stars Virgie Ree’s is only open on weekends and is a home based business with a separate store front on property. Everyone was very nice, and I could see the love being poured into each meal. The food came out decently quick and are all to go orders it seems. Got the jerk chicken plate and curry chicken plate with two sides each. Slightly smaller portions of each item than I would be accustomed to overall, but all of the flavors were good, with the jerk being the winner of the two entrees. I could be happy with just a big plate of the sides as they all were very good. Give them a try!

This place by far is the best food in bowling green. The couple that runs it is so welcoming and kind. You can tell they put that love into their food as well. We had the pulled pork and ribs with green beans,baked beans potato salad and Mac. The Mac was definitely better then your grannys. And everything else was fantastic. Will be going every time I can.

Great customer service, great food, great pricing. When you look for a caterer, you’re looking for someone that is able to hit atleast 2 of these 3 qualities. It’s rare to find a business that can handle all 3, Barry and Angie both did just that! They catered our wedding with 30 guests and we still had so much food we are shoveling down left-overs! Not to mention there were folks from all over the country for this wedding and every single person loved the food! If you’re needing someone to cater look no further!

Virgie Ree’s, catered my wedding while providing an amazing customer service experience. We had a small party of 30, and Barry and Angie created a menu that had our guest going back for seconds, and even some thirds. We had so much food left over we even enjoyed it for our after party! OMG the food is amazing. I got a rack of ribs that brought back some really good memories. The brisket is to die for and I m so in love with the bake beans and cabbage. They are so friendly. Make you feel right at home. Go check them out you wont regret it. Thank you so much for really great food.
