The food was served extremely promptly. It was served just as I ordered it. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was super quiet! It sounds like I got lucky with that!
Either way the dinner was a huge success
I had a huge TV all to my self! Huge score
With next Super Bowl here in Santa Clara I would imagine this place will be an entire block party in February!!
The café at Hilton Santa Clara is an absolute delight! The pastries are simply amazing, offering a perfect blend of flavors and textures that make every bite memorable. Their drink selection is equally impressive, with fantastic options that cater to every palate. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing coffee break or a quick snack. Highly recommended! ☕
I recently dined at La Fontana and ordered the Chilean Sea Bass paired with a Lagunitas IPA. The sea bass was undoubtedly the highlight—perfectly cooked with a delicate, flaky texture and a beautifully seared exterior. The flavors were well-balanced, light yet satisfying, showcasing the freshness of the fish. Pairing it with the bold and hoppy notes of the Lagunitas IPA added a nice contrast and rounded out the meal.
However, the pasta I tried fell short. The flavor was far too bland for my taste, lacking the depth or seasoning needed to elevate the dish. For a restaurant of this caliber, I expected more attention to detail in the execution of their pasta dishes.
On the bright side, the ambiance was pleasant and relaxed, making it a comfortable spot for a meal, and the service was attentive without being intrusive.
I had the prime rib, it was so buttery soft and delicious! Also, we ordered the cioppino, fish and chips, and grilled sea bass. Everyone really enjoyed their dish. The staff was friendly and helpful. The service was quick, since we’re the only customers.
Tip-If there’s a 49er game and you’re not staying @ the hotel, you won’t be allowed to park here just to dine. Don’t bother giving them a made up room number, they’ll confirm the name matches the room number. Fortunately we reserved a room during a game.
They will suggest to park elsewhere. Bring cash for parking, there is several parking areas but it’s expensive. I’ve seen prices up to $40 for parking.
Lunch with my team.
Menu states the meat was served cooked medium, when my plate arrived it was well done. Sent it back, got it back as medium.
Can’t recommend this dish. Polenta was very salty and too much butter was added, left a greasy feeling in my mouth. I barely touched the Polenta.
The onion soup was ok.
Food – Mediocre
Service – abysmal
Ambiance – poor
Price – extremely expensive
We went to La Fontana for mother’s day brunch. They charged us as soon as we checked in, then still had us wait 40 minutes past the time of our reservation to seat us. They had clearly taken more reservations than they could support. The price was over $200 for three meals, of which, many items had already run out – from the oysters, to pastries, to black tea. The food was displayed throughout the hotel lobby, so everything echoed so loudly that you could barely have a conversation. Everything we ate was mediocre at best – not at all what one would expect from such a high priced meal with a brand like Hilton.
