This little hidden gem called catfish kitchen is amazing. My wife had the catfish and I had the tilapia .. my tilapia was deliciously seasoned tender & full of flavor . The catfish was also seasoned to perfection. We had 2 sides and was pleasantly surprised !! Will definitely be back ! The service was excellent the young lady made sure she answered my questions ( was our first time there) and we took her advice as far as the menu’s choices! Glad we did ! If you’re looking for a homemade fish style , HOOKS CATFISH KITCHEN is your to go eatery!!

Highly recommended! The catfish nuggets were yummy and the walleye was delicious. There was a bit of a wait, but worth it. Inside dining is limited to just a couple tables but since it was a beautiful day we were able to eat at the park right across the street.

My fish was fried very very hard to a point there was no meat to chew on. I’ve purchased food from here many times and a couple times I wasn’t satisfied but I wanted to give it another try because the flavor is good and I wanted to support but that will be my last time ordering from here.

(3/20/25 around 1:30) Finally got to try this place. Was very pleased all around. Got an assortment of the fish and was delicious. Will be glad to return. Service was pleasant, place was nice and clean, fish was great.

My first time at catfish kitchen today and let me tell you it blew my expectations the fish was super well cooked to perfection and the food woman that was working was super friendly and cooked everything with pride and soul it’s been a long time since I had catfish cooked the right way I will definitely be a returning customer for life. Please let everyone try the catfish kitchen it’s a local place owned by a good ole boy from the community and the cook is on her game

Just a hole in the wall in downtown Erie. I’m in town for the Erie Bicycle fest and wanted some seafood. Came across Hooks. Excellent deep-fried catfish and the best steak fries I’ve ever had all at a fair price. Highly recommend.
