Overall, I’ve always enjoyed going here – the food is very healthy and they use really high quality ingredients. At the same time, though, I need to mentally prepare in advance for the various up-charges and very expensive menu. $13 for a small berry tart? You bet. But it’s good!
They used to have this healthy bowl thing that they got rid of – not sure why as it seemed popular.
I am not sure if this is a recent thing, but they’ve been asking for reservations when you walk up – and it doesn’t really feel like a reservation kind of place. The front is a more casual cafe / walk up and order type of set up.
This place definitely has the classic but often unfortunate tradeoff of eating ethically sourced and healthy food: high price. Which always makes me wonder.
Recommend coming for a coffee / tea and quick snack but be cognizant of price.
They weren’t kidding when they noted that it could feed 2 people. I ended up saving the 2nd half of it for dinner tonight. The ingredients all seemed to be fresh and of good quality. The flavors blended together really well to make a delicious meal. 100% worth the money!
Their social media focuses primarily on their bakery/pastry items, but the restaurant menu is not to be overlooked. I loved the amaranth pudding. $18 sounds like a lot for a bowl of porridge, but it ultimately felt worth it for such high-quality and clean ingredients, the fantastic taste, and the lovely presentation. The sides of tofu scramble and stewed chickpeas were also delicious and hearty and rounded out my brunch. Next time, I definitely want to delve more into the savory items, many of which are inspired by the owner Andrea’s Burmese heritage.
I had such a great experience at P.S. & Co. that I cannot believe I waited so long to try it. I think I may have mistakenly thought it was primarily a juice/smoothie bar or cake shop rather than recognizing it as the adorable, fully organic, health-conscious restaurant that it is. Truly a gem!
And on top of that we’ve had absolutely wonderful service, sweet and attentive. We also had the meatball sandwich, and the rice bowl, both were large and filling and good. But dang that mushroom soup… it almost made me forget about the incredible desserts!
be careful what you order: some items better than others if you are not used to vegan.
kale salad was excellent *****
didn’t like the romaine salad and no switching dressings= truth we were warned it was salt free
dill grilled cheese
bread excellent
cashew cheese: nothing like cheese. one person liked it one scraped it off
didn’t like the fake scrambled eggs but the bagel tasted fine
baked goods were all very tasty; loved the maple gingerbread cookie
the point of the restaurant is to be healthy and extra good for people with autoimmune disease.
everything in the whole place is gluten and dairy free.
unfortunately one of our party had nut allergies so there was very little to eat for her.
Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the price, in my opinion, is quite unreasonable. Good food should be accessible and while sometimes I get you have to charge more, they do over do it a little.
