The Hispanic lady that was taking our order had a very bland additive . She just looked like she and sounded as if she was very miserable with her job even though we were the last person to take their order. And when we got our 6 asada queso tacos the cilantro was all over on top of the tacos as if they just threw the tacos in the tray and threw the cilantro on top not even in the tacos itself. For a 35 dollar meal I expected better service and better looks of the food. There wasn’t an option to give this restaurant a -5 stars.

TRY THE INDIAN TACO! Yes, that’s what it’s called, it’s a tasty blend of Native American and Mexican cuisine. It’s a large fry bread w/ ground beef, pico de gallo, sour cream, and beans. It’s so good, it’s like an elevated Taco Bell item, combined with fry bread that tastes like a Mexican bolillo. El Comal’s entire menu was very enticing, I’m happy I got to try their food on this trip to Soboba! I also highly recommend the mulitas, the meat was juicy and the tortillas are very tasty.
El Comal can be found in the food hall section of the casino next to the Soboba Pub. I suggest visiting if you’re looking for something economical and delicious. It’s a very popular spot and fills up fast in the evening. There’s a lot of tables in front of this eatery, so don’t underestimate this place if it seems quiet.
El Comal also has unique dessert items like churro donuts for those who need to satisfy their sweet tooth after the main course. The staff were pretty friendly and helpful. This place seems understaffed yet they still make do! Salsa, condiments and drinks need to be requested to an employee. Everything is behind the counter minus cutlery. I got a teeny bottle of water for $1.00 to cleanse my palate.

The burrito had Carnitas, Spanish Rice, Beans, Cheese and Pico de gallo. Delicious and very big. Chips and Guacamole was also very tasty. I would order here again.

Ordered a carnitas burrito and the moment I took a bite I was hit with a bite full of whole black pepper corns. Whole Black pepper corns where mixed inside the burrito. I don’t know why they will not remove them before putting the carnitas pork inside a burrito. I almost cracked a tooth and couldn’t eat it all there where just too many. It made the burrito very hot and couldn’t even put any salsa. The cook or prep person needs to know that one can’t serve stuff like that. I guess this is my last time trying their food. What a shame. Had to throw the rest of burrito the garbage. I’m getting sick from so much black pepper corns.bepto time. See photo attached with the ones I was able to take out. Made my meal horrible.

Found 2 pieces of plastic in my food and they refused to offer a refund because I had already eaten it. Gave me the runaround even though $17 would cost them little. Kept serving the food and threw away the plastic I gave them, so continuing to serve food to other customers they know to have plastic.

Omg the best green chilaquiles I’ve ever had. Flavorful and spicy just perfect. Margarita was bomb! My hubby loved his birria tacos. Staff was great.
