We had a great experience. The drinks were great. We ordered the Oysters Cest Cochon which were excellent and a new oyster experience. The gumbo was flavorful and the grilled chicken salad was fresh. They even let us bring our boiled crawfish from TJ’s market to eat at the restaurant. A really great experience!

Traveling through and found this place to eat. Glad we did! Apon entering we were immediately welcomed with a smile!! We were seated, given a few min to look at the menu and our server Kirsten greeted us with another smile and took our drink order and asked if there were any questions we had. We asked if she could recommend anything and gave a few ideas. We got some gater bites to start with, never had them b4. A little chewy, but the breading was good and overall flavor was good. For the meal wipe got the shrimp plater and I got the shrimp po boy, with a cup of crawfish etufee (however it’s spelled). Loved every bite!! The flavor of everything was so good!! We couldn’t finish there was so much! For the price and service it was such a great place!! Sure hope to make our way back there sometime!!!!

Exceptional Brunch! T-Johnny’s is a Central LA Must-Try!
First time here on the suggestion of other Google reviewers for brunch, and it was absolutely fantastic!
The overall experience was great from the moment we walked in. The staff was super friendly, and the place was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated for the Christmas season—a lovely touch!
The Food: Unique & Delicious
T-Johnny’s offers a very nice à la carte and unique brunch menu that is perfect for Central Louisiana cuisine.
We ordered four dishes, and everything was delicious:
Crawfish Omelette
Biscuits and Gravy
Sunnyside Eggs, Bacon, and Hash Browns
Chargrilled Boudain Link and Biscuit
The Crawfish Omelette was the definite star of the show—wonderful flavor and cooked perfectly! Highly recommend trying it. All dishes were delicious, though the bacon was a little undercooked for our personal preference (but that’s minor!).
Highly recommend T-Johnny’s on the Bayou! We will definitely be back.

Lots and lots of food choices, large portions as well. A goldmine in a very unsuspecting place. We enjoyed it very much and hope to be back! It sits on the river and indoor and screened river front seating as well. Uncharted of 3% for all debit or credit card purchases, so cash is King but still very much worth the trip.
We tried chips with boudin queso as an appetizer and was not disappointed, Delish! Service was great, sweet, kind & professional.
Thank you!

Food was great, but all appetizers and a lot of the food tended to high on salt. Service was very nice. The atmosphere and ambience was wonderful, as we were seated outside. The weather and climate made the environment wonderful. Overall good service, atmosphere, and food, but food was slightly too salty.

Foods were good, hot and fresh oysters ,iam not sure are they wildcaught or farm but the size is smaller than casino’s oysters . Waiter (the girl wear glasses and black sweater) take care of us very well, I really appreciate that. Will be back another day soon.

I had a good time at T-Johnny’s. The outdoor seating on the deck has a nice overlook of Cane River Lake, the service was friendly and fast, and the fish and onion rings were hot and well-seasoned. For dessert, I had beignet and a scoop of ice cream on the side (it was a hot day). A good way to end a good visit!

The food wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t the best either. I ordered a Medium Rare sirloin with a side of Mac n cheese and onion rings. The Sirloin itself came out slightly overcooked and it wasn’t seasoned the best. The onion rings weren’t even onion rings. They looked like fried onions you can buy at a store for green bean casseroles and they were too salty, I couldn’t eat them all. The Mac n cheese was pretty good. I mean it’s hard to screw up Mac N cheese. Other than that, our server Alyviah was nice and the Atmosphere of the restaurant itself was nice. I give it a 3/5 star rating.

Enjoyed the evening at this restaurant, live music, and good food on a Friday night visiting. Overall the service was exceptional our server was polite and attentive. The food was good, catfish crane was phenomenal, the salmon was ok but overly cooked, the fried shrimp was good as well. For overall value, we would return again.

We enjoyed a late lunch here, but I feel the food is overpriced for what we got. The gator bites were salty and more like tiny pieces. There wasn’t much at all for a $15 appetizer. The fries that came with our meals were good but over salted as well. We couldn’t finish them unfortunately. I had the shrimp wrap. It was just ok. My husband had fried oysters, good but also too salty! Service was great and it’s a nice atmosphere but for the prices the food should be spot on and it was not. With tip and appetizer we spent 150 for 3 adults and a child and everyone’s food was over salted.
