Food is amazing, service however – absolutely shocking.
I came here on a weekday with a couple of colleagues for an informal catch-up wanting to try the much hyped dosas. We come in and are taken to our table. The waiter is very quiet and seems very new but appreciating this we don’t mind. He took food orders but completely forgot to do drinks which we had to remind him to do afterwards.
For food we ordered dosas, I ordered a single tandoori chicken to go with my dosa and one of the colleagues ordered a single chicken tikka to go with his. When the food came out, we were very impressed at the size of the dosas. Bit dissappointed by the amount of Sambhar and chutneys provided but this can be forgiven because they tasted delicious.
However, where everything fell over was when the chicken arrived. We recieved two chicken tikka’s. And upon trying to explain this error to the waiter, he completey blanked and had no idea how to respond and what to say, even going as far as to say this dish WAS tandoori chicken.. Very unproffesional. So I asked for the tikka to be replaced with tandoori, which of course never happened.
This soured my taste to much I had no interest in wanting the chicken anymore. The only reason I don’t giove 1 start for service is because he removed the chicken tikka from the bill as a gesture of good will (it wasn’t eaten anyway!).
If you come here be aware that whilst the food is good, the service is abyssmal. The staff need proper training so it can improve. There also seemed to be a lot of issues with the takeawy as there was a lot of arguing and shouting going on over the phone and over the counter.

What a wonderful experience
Such a tasty curry, I had the balti, good portions. Exceptional service. A great addition to Drayton.
Unbeknown to me, they knew it was my daughter’s birthday. They brought out a chocolate cake at the end of the meal (they especially went out to get her a small cake!).

Staff were attentive and friendly, food & drinks came quickly and everything was delicious! Wide variety of dishes on the menu including chicken nuggets for children who don’t fancy curry!
The staff even surprised us with a cake (supplied by them!) and a birthday song – with all the staff coming out to clap!

What a lovely, relaxing evening spent at dosa spices tonight. The food was delicious (we had the Dosa’ s and house special) and the atmosphere in restaurant was warm and welcoming. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and efficient; Drayton is very lucky to have such a great eating place in the village!

Went here a week ago and I am already craving the delicious food. Chicken pakora I could have had larger pieces as I have a big appetite but the chicken 65 wow was amazing the best flavours I have had so far. Then I was blown away by the Hyderabadi Dum Lamb biryani, the meat was tender the spices were authentic it was mouthwatering. I couldn’t help but then have a masala dosa to takeaway. Whilst I would prefer my dosa to be a little more crispy as just my personal preference the filling definitely reminded me of my mums home cooking which is an art in itself, the sides especially the coconut chutney was lush. I will definitely be going back as you really cannot fault authentic food. This is not one of those restaurants that pretend to be Indian and serve another countries cuisine. Its actual Hyderabadi Indian yummy food. As for the service they were friendly, attentive and just 10/10 all round.

Fantastic service from friendly staff, food came very fast and the menu had some unique dishes I’ve never had before (I highly recommend trying the rice pancakes). Price of the meal for two was £50 including alcohol and starters, so exceptional. Only downside was that the lamb wasn’t slow cooked so was a bit tough, so stick with the chicken.
