I came to Habana Café for the first time on a Wednesday night just to try it out — and from that moment, I couldn’t stop coming back. I ended up visiting three days in a row for both lunch and dinner.
Before coming, I had read some reviews where people compared the food here to Miami’s, and honestly, I think that’s a bit silly. Even when you’re talking about the same type of food, every place has its own flavor and soul. As a proud Puerto Rican, I can tell you: this place is not just authentic — it’s something special.
The atmosphere, the décor, the service, the prices, the freshness of the food, the coffee, the bread — everything is just incredible. The staff is genuinely kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. And let me tell you: the Cuban sandwich? Out of this world. Seriously, one of the best I’ve ever had.

Come here for delicious food prepared with attention to detail, care for the customer, and joy. The restaurant owner and staff are welcoming and attentive. The Cuban sandwich is a good place to start, but you will want to come back to try other items on the menu. We have enjoyed many visits to the Havana Cafe, and look forward to many more.

The atmosphere was fun and welcoming and the decor was beautiful! The Mocha cubano and cafe con leche were were delicious. We got fufu w/ lechon appetizer, bread pudding, and guava & cheese pastry. Everything was tasty!

The food is delicious, and the service is spectacular. We had the marinated pork belly with beans and rice and the appetizer sampler. Everything was so good, but the beans and pork belly hold the top spots. The maduros still make my mouth water. Thank you Havana Cafe!

I have been craving a Cuban sandwich since moving from Florida and this place delivered. The pork was perfectly cooked and shredded. The mustard added the perfect tang to cut through the fat of the pork. The pickle was the perfect amount of crunch and was in every bite. The bread being and mold family recipe made it perfection. Only complaint is the maduros was too hot and we had to wait to eat them. Will for sure be coming back.

Love this place! I come here often on my lunch break and the staff couldn’t be more friendly and the food couldn’t be tastier! I always get an Andy’s Cuban which is phenomenal with a side of black beans. I often get a side of mariquitas which are so good and great to dip into the black beans. Everyone has always been so nice here especially Andy the owner, and the atmosphere is amazing. If you want to support a newer local business focused on bringing you authentic food you have to stop by here! I always tell people in town about this spot.

I loved this place, they had great authentic Cuban food here. Trust me I’m Cuban. The had a bunch of cool pictures, funny and historical Cuban stuff. Andy was really friendly, great service. I highly recommend this place. I had the pollo a la plancha plate with a side of yuca frita.

My brother & I were raised in Miami & have lots of Cuban food background. The Cuban sandwich just didnt have all the right stuff..plain bread roll, not smokey lechon & the Sandwich was Not toasted in the press. The Maduros ( sweet plantain was ok, a little mushy)) Black beans were plain, rice was ok but the usual choped onions weren’t on top if the dish (ordered as a a side, but charged for an entree portion) Plus I ordered a black coffee with steamed milk on the side… what I got was sweetened cafe con leche & toasted white bread roll (which I didn’t order).
The owner/chef/cashier didnt listen to my order & it seemed as though he was building the check.
Next time Im in Eugene I will go back to my Hotel for lunch.

Incredibly kind staff, it felt like a welcoming family atmosphere. I found it sweet that (who I think was the) owner was giving flavor recommendations on the food – it shows passion. I got the Havana sampler and a Cubano and everything was great. The atmosphere also made me feel like I was on vacation – I highly recommend!
