We had a wonderful family experience at Athena Roasted Chicken. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly roasted, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family.
What really stood out was the value — great prices for the quality and amount of food you get. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything came out quickly. We left happy and satisfied and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended for a delicious, affordable family meal.

I haven’t eaten in the restaurant but, I’ve ordered it alot and love it! Good value but, more importantly, delicious food. Chicken is fantastic and presented nicely, Chicken soup is delicious, the potatoes and zucchini are great. I’m looking forward to eating there sometime.

The location is convenient and easy to get to, which makes it an ideal spot for a quick, satisfying bite. The service was quick and fine. I had my chicken in about 2 minutes. The place is clean and neat. The plate (pictured) was about $12. McD’s cost that much, and this is real food. With that said, I thought the chicken was a little dry and fell apart too easily. But l still enjoyed it, along with the potatoes and green beans. Would l return and/or recommend – yea.

There are so many great Mediterranean restaurants here in Orlando, however we were so lucky to come here! I was in the mood for some roasted chicken, so this place popped out just by the name itself.
First of all, prices are insanely reasonable. For $10-12 you can get a huge meal to fill you up! Do note that prices are temporarily up by 10%, and this is a separate charge you see on your receipt.
Now the quality is just as insane. I got a half roasted chicken with potatoes and pasta salad.
The pasta salad was perfect, it had the right amount of that 1000 island dressing. It was subtle enough to not overpower the dish, and paired with perfectly cooked pasta, it was fantastic. The roasted potatoes were also really good. I thoroughly enjoyed the light, mildly seasoned chunks of potatoes, allowing for the chicken to shine.
Now the chicken. Oh my goodness. This was beautifully roasted. The chicken had a nice, slightly crispy and majorly flavorful skin that covered the juiciest chicken I’ve ever had. There was so much flavor infused throughout the meat, and it literally would fall apart on its own as I was eating it.
Overall this restaurant blew us away and I would come back again in a heartbeat!

This place has the best chicken you’ve ever had. Full stop, it’s absolutely savory, it falls off the bone, and it usually doesn’t survive the car ride back home, so I have to get two of them when bringing home dinner.
A lunch here is one of the reasons I go to the YMCA nearby. Sometimes on a challenging run or swim, I close my eyes and imagine this food gracing my taste buds as a way to make it through the pain. Sacrifice your gains today at Athena’s Roasted Chicken. Embrace gluttony.

A hidden gem of a restaurant! Outside seating area is very vibey with all the surrounding plants. My husband & I came here for lunch and left with happy bellies! I got the zesty feta pita wrap with green beans and hummus as a side, along with baklava. My husband got the quarter chicken platter with white chicken, red beans & rice, and tabouleh, along with rice pudding. We loved our meals! The zesty pita has a slight kick, but as someone that doesn’t handle spice well, it wasn’t too crazy. We enjoyed the baklava more than the rice pudding but that’s a texture thing for us. The cinnamon on the rice pudding added a nice touch and definitely helped. The potatoes looked really yummy so definitely will be trying those next time. Would recommend!

First time eating at this place. Got the quarter chicken dark with potatoes and green beans. It was so good that I got a whole chicken to go (I don’t have Athenas where I live, please come to Gainesville) and I got a piece of baklava (which I had to eat in the car ). Amazing chicken!!!!

So I’ve been watching this place since I moved to the area. I love a good lemon roasted potato. I was out on a walk and figured I’d stop in to pick up a late lunch. I ordered the quarter chicken and potatoes and green beans, pita bread on the side. When I got home and opened my box, I was a little taken back by house small the chicken quarter was. I figured that they compensated with the sides, so I didn’t feel robbed. The food was delicious though! I’d recommend getting a dinner roll rather than pita bread though. I didn’t eat it. Perhaps if they toasted the pita with olive oil/sea salt, it would’ve been delicious.
Otherwise, this is a great lunch spot. If you’re starving, get a half chicken. If you’re on a diet like me, then get the quarter chicken. Id definitely come back and try the gyro.

Yesterday my wife and I made a nostalgia culinary tour of our old stomping ground. Twenty years ago Athena Chicken was the best roasted chicken in the world. Today, twenty years later, it is still the best roasted chicken in the world! And the sides can’t be beat either.
