I finally tried Grumpy’s MeatZeria and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food is straight comfort food done right. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care, not rushed or generic. You can tell they take pride in what they put out.

I stay in Victoria quite a lot for work. My family traveled with me and my wife likes trying new places and she found this place.
The lady that served my family and I could not have been any nicer. Very friendly and welcoming. Inside was very clean.
All of the food that we got was amazing and well priced. I got the catfish Po-boy and will be getting it again. My wife got the Philly and she said that it was delicious. I took a bit of my son’s spicy chicken gyro and it was amazing as well. Absolutely recommend stopping at this place at least ounce if you are coming through Victoria:)

The food is good if you can ever catch them open. Today is the fourth time I’ve tried to come when they were closed during their normal operating hours over the last several months. I drove quite a ways because they are also terrible about answering their phones, even when it’s is dead inside.
The pita is amazing, and that’s what had me try several times, but I don’t think I will waste my time again.

Very friendly staff and the food was outstanding! Got two lunch specials and will definitely eat here again. Jalapeno ranch burger was perfect and the gyro was just as good. Fries were also delicious! We ate every bite.

Went in for a take out order of 2 gyro plates. Customer service was excellent. They acknowledge you even if they are hustling and kindly answer any questions. I would also note that Sharon, at the front in was awesome . And Anthony…YUM! And wutever you do, DON’T change your fries!! Keep up the good work guyz!!

The only complaint is deciding what to get which is not on them. Everything is good. Tried a few different things and everything was perfect. Great service and atmosphere. 50/50 split grilled and fired shrimp 10/10. Bacon cheese burger 10/10. Beef/lamb gyro 10/10. Fries 10/10. Very nice people and great food. I’ll be stopping by Victoria just for this place again.

Interesting experience today as I went in expecting a pizza slice as indicated by their online menu and was greeted by “we don’t sell pizza and don’t have any beignets.” So with that, I quickly adjusted and tried their gyro and fries. Both were pretty tasty.

Quick drop in to try something different while traveling and they did not disappoint. The fried mushrooms, spanakopita, pita and Taziki appetizers are delicious. The beef and lamb gyros with side fries done to perfection. Nothing was overly greasy, which is common for most establishments nowadays. Only having one employee working at that time they did a marvelous job of not only making the food but attending to others that came in the establishment.

This place is good. Four out of five people in our party order the chicken fried steak and they all talked about how good it was. Another person had fried shrimp basket and stated that is some great fries shrimp. The food was fresh and hot when served. The frying oil was clean and fresh. They have good lunch specials. The dining area was clean and had a touch of seasonal decor. I am looking forward to coming back and try the shrimp poor boy. Keep up the good work.I highly recommend Gumpy’s Meatzzeria
