Finally gave Seneca’s a try after noticing it a few months back. Wow! I wish we had tried it much sooner. We have now eaten there or gotten takeout 4 times in the past 2 weeks.

All aspects of this restaurant / deli / pizzeria are excellent – food, portion size, service, and ambience. Pricing is very reasonable in my opinion.

Yesterday I had the large meatball sub and it was amazing. Light toasted Italian bread, loaded with handmade meatballs, and then covered with his marinara (Sunday Sauce) and cheese. This is the best meatball sub I’ve ever had. The Sunday Sauce is something special.

We’ve also tried the Rueben, pizza, and Philly cheesesteak. All are excellent and the Rueben will be one of our frequent orders.

It’s my understanding that the owner, Boez, was originally a baker and this is reflected in the desserts and pastries that are offered. So far we’ve tried the tiramisu and pistachio cheese cake. Both were wonderful.

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I feel there’s a reason this time. We chose to dine in for dinner and it was pretty busy inside. Our server mentioned there was outdoor seating. We weren’t sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves, so we waited for a bit and eventually asked. She told us we could seat ourselves outside and that our food would be brought out in about 20 minutes.

We also noticed that we weren’t offered any drinks or even water before heading outside, so we were sitting out there the whole time with nothing to drink while we waited. After about 30–40 minutes with no update, we went back inside and saw our food sitting on the counter. At that point, we just decided to take it to go and head home.

Once we got home, we also noticed the pizza was a bit burnt, which was disappointing on top of the long wait and lack of service.

Incredible, truly authentic Italian food!! The staff is super friendly and the owner is in the back making homemade Italian food with real Italian ingredients. Bread is fresh and soft. Highly recommend for the quality, atmosphere, and price!

Started out pretty empty but by the time we left the crowd was starting to come in for lunch. Menu is pretty simple, not the same as some people have posted.
We came for sandwiches . I got the Italian and the wife got the muffuletta. We also got some olives but they weren’t on the menu or posted in the store.

Gotta say the sandwiches were a little underwhelming. Italian sub was light on meat and condiments, kinda dry. The wife said the muffuletta was lacking in mortadella .

Place was ok

This place is pretty decent! The food is definitely the highlight when you come here. The service was pretty good on its own. We didn’t have to wait for a long time for our food. The atmosphere, however, definitely needs some work done. When you first walk in, it’s not even half bad, but when you go near the back of the place, it made me feel like we were sitting in the back of a warehouse facility. The food definitely makes up for it, though. Overall, it was a nice experience and I’d come back.

My husband had the sausage and peppers sandwich, we both loved it! I had the chicken Parm sandwich and it was delicious as well. I also got a lobster tail, the bavarian cream inside was outstanding and overall the pastry itself was delicious. (Don’t mind the picture, I had started eating it before our food came out and before I took the picture) We will definitely be coming back! The owner was also super nice and the music was perfect for the atmosphere.

Stopped by for a few treats and lunch. The pizza was good but seemed as if it was sitting in the warmer awhile. Partially my fault for stopping in later in the day AND being too eager to wait for the fresh pepperoni pie that was coming out. Overall the slice tasted great. The baked goods were delicious!! Not too sweet and so buttery! The sub was extremely filling and the best I’ve had in awhile. Customer service was perfect and so welcoming. We’ll def be back!

So good!! My husband and I dined in for the first time last night and both got the chicken cutlet sandwich with a chocolate chip cannoli and pistachio tart. He’s been dying to try it for weeks now and so glad we did! I grew up going to Italian delis in NY while visiting my family in Staten Island and my husband is Sicilian. Our new favorite spot! ✨ (and yes I took a bite of my pistachio tart immediately, I couldn’t wait)

Something I’ve gotten used to in this area is terrible pizza and calzones. I’m from CT, where pizza is great every time. I ordered a calzone at Senecas, and it felt like being home! Truly wonderful, friendly staff, great atmosphere (although I only picked up takeout), and as soon as I smelled the calzone, I knew it was going to be right. I’ll be back to have their New Haven style pizza soon!

When they opened a few years ago, I also had a sandwich that I think about regularly as well—again, feels like something I’d get in an Italian deli back in the Boston area. Their hours were limited at that time, so I hadn’t made it back in a while, but that’s going to change.

We drove 25 minutes in order to try out this place based on a recommendation of a friend. It took us 40 minutes to get a large margarita pizza. What we got was in fact an old cheese pizza that had probably been made earlier in the day. When the pizza arrived, the tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella were definitely all thrown on at the end before bringing the pizza out to us. The mozzarella was not melted at all on top of the pizza. The tomatoes were cold. When eating the pizza, the heat throughout was inconsistent as though it had been reheated. Additionally, the dough was dried out like a cracker- but not hot like it came out of the oven. This is absolutely the worst pizza that I have eaten in Pensacola/Gulf Breeze area. Additionally, the owner was in the kitchen cooking the pizzas, and I am shocked that he would allow a pizza to come out in such a manner. We were planning on getting lots of desserts for a family get together tomorrow, and made a decision to not trust the quality or freshness of the desserts.
