We were driving through Amherst Junction and decided to stop in. The Google reviews were great so we thought we’d give it a go. We are so glad we did. The bartender was so sweet and friendly, the place was clean, bathrooms were immaculate. The had a bluegrass band playing. (They were also awesome) The food the food was amazing! We ordered the steak bites appetizer, delicious. I ordered the fish sandwich with mac fries, my husband had the bacon smash burger and, my son had the chicken sandwich. Everything was amazing! I highly recommend stopping in. You’ll love it!!

Again, the best food came from the least expected place. This dive bar had the best fish fry in the greater Stevens point area. I had the deep fried 3 piece cod, and the entire meal was aces.
You know when you order fish fry and get a bunch of sub-par pre-made sides? Not the case here. Fresh salad, toasted garlic rye, and house fries that were delicious.
Great food, if you can handle, or even like, the townie dive bar atmosphere!

Great find. Was looking for a quick meal while out biking, and found the BEST clam chowder I’ve ever eaten. And their fried cod-stellar. Rivals top fish frys around. Told our waitress how much we loved the soup, and discovered she’s the chef. Told us all about her recipe for the clam chowder, and it just shows how much care and pride they have in their food. We will definitely be back.

We were driving through and were looking for a quick place to eat. It’s very much a bar but has a few high top tables and a fairly large menu. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger smash burgers, delicious!! Tasted very fresh and full of flavor. Our daughter ate her entire cheeseburger. We also got the steak bites which were so good. Great service too! Would definitely go back!

This bar has recently undergone new management, and what a great change! We sat outside and listened to music and ate amazing food. Inside, the bar is clean and has a welcoming, attentive staff.
This was my original post at their Grand Opening, but I want to add that we went back last night for their Steak Bites and loaded Baked Potatoe special… it was so good! This bar is a MUST TRY.

So, having grown up in Milwaukee where Friday was fish fry, Saturday was red meat (steak, burgers, ribs) and Sunday was chicken, I find myself looking for a fish fry every Friday night. Tonight, I was amazed, I bought an Amherst football fund raiser card and there was a bogo deal for a fish fry. We thought, give it a try. Absolutely the best, most amazing clam chowder I’ve ever had. See above if you think I haven’t had clam chowder before tonight. The deep fried fish was delicious and perfectly done and the shrimp was not to disappoint. The rye bread had an amazing infused butter on it. And the fries, well they didn’t disappoint. One of my favorite, best value and more importantly most satisfying fish fry’s I have ever found.
Funny thing is, I forgot my coupon in the truck but opted to use it next time so we will have to come back.
Please don’t tell your friends, i don’t like to wait in lines but still Lake Emily Inn has it figured out.

This place makes me weak in the knees just thinking about it. The owners are the amazing people you would find in a comedy show set in the early 2000s on a premium streaming service. The food is top notch made from a real Italian mother, the scary kind so you know it’s delicious. Upgrades everywhere, the place is a true, 5 star dive bar!!!!

We had some adventures traveling and it got later than expected so we went looking for a place to eat near the campground we were at. The food and service were amazing. The portions were large and price was very reasonable. Would definitely go to this bar/grill again!

My all time favorite place! I feel like i have my own personal chef. I eat here, at least, 4 times a week. The food specials are always amazing with a wide variety throughout the week. And the hamburgers are to die for as well. The service is always great. If you’re in the area, stop in and grab something to eat! And have a drink or 2 while you wait. 5 star dive bar!
