Got a drink for 8.50. Put 9$ on the receipt and was charged $12.00. Called the saloon and advised I want my credit and was told to talk to the manager. No name given and no idea when the manager would be in. I don’t play with money but apparently these bartenders do. Not only did one of the bartenders steal my sisters debit card but they took another patrons as well the same night. Something seriously needs to be done. Ridiculous

I used to visit here 10-15 years ago, and the clientele was considerably different. I returned yesterday night for the first time, and the people there are quite shady-looking, so I’m confident that there were a lot of drugs being dealt. The staff is excellent and incredibly friendly. They even stop by occasionally to make sure you don’t need anything. This would be a 5-star dive bar if it weren’t for the shady-looking individuals who crowded the place!

Update, four years later: it’s become a favorite! There are always boiled peanuts in a crock pots. Sure you have to flag down the bartender, but she knows the personal story of everybody at the bar AND brings in homemade spaghetti on New Year’s Eve. They stay open during hurricanes until the power goes out. What more could you possibly want in a small town dive bar?

Howdy and Rowdy! Finish line is EXACTLY the hole in the wall type of saloon that WE are all looking for! Michele was a great bartender & kept cold ones coming! The energy in the bar was great & ended with a good ol Pushing & shouting match between two of baddest dudes on the south side of Branch Forbes Rd.
