Came in this friday (1/6/2026) to try it as I have never been here yet I lived in Plainview for most of my life as a kid. For certain it serves standard breakfast items and they also offer lunch specials. I can’t guarantee I be back every week but maybe once a month and update this review each time. But great food. Prices for food were really low making it easier for those who are looking for a cheap but great quality meal available.

Great old throw back cafe from a time when smoking was allowed. We loved it. Perfect breakfast. Just beware, smoking inside is permitted. Crazy good old time food. Friendly folks that are interested in you and don’t mind chit-chatting and sharing stories.

Bought 3 chicken fried chicken lunch specials yesterday,and it was awful! I wouldn’t eat that if it was free! It was like throwing away 30.00 because it was so disgusting! Smh…I see why the place was almost empty of customers. Ridiculous… wouldn’t feed this too my dog!

I ate at nu-griddle for the first time last weekend. As I entered the restaurant, I was smacked in the face with cigarette smoke and the smell of what I would describe as, “breakfast.” I didn’t realize that indoor smoking at restaurants was still a thing. After being seated in the no smoking section, the cigarette smoke became bearable. The food is great, and the prices are even better. Its standard breakfast food. Eggs how ever you want them, bacon and hash browns cooked nice and crispy. I will return, and plan on making it an every weekend breakfast spot.

Not from plainview, I took a wild guess for a place to eat and I’m glad we did!! My hubby loved the grits, my sister loved the eggs, and I loved the atmosphere!!! Old time jukeboxes, and our waitress was super sweet. We got our food the way we asked “”real food”” gravy was homemade, grits perfect, and watching ol timers laugh and joke!!! I sooooo loved it!!!

Walked in and immediately had to walk out. The man smoking a cigarette at the first booth shocked me. The overwhelming odor of cigarette smoke was horrendous. I have no idea how good the food was.

I love this place I don’t live in Plainview but I will sure be back there soon. Great prices and very friendly waitresses. Free music on the jukebox. And also have old fashion music players at each table.

Great homestyle cooking. This is a hood place for that homestyle food, from Mexican food to Chicken Fried Steak, Breakfasts also. Dinning area on the left is non-smoking section.
