We arrived late (around 8:30) after a graduation. There were 8 of us in total and a few of us have worked in the industry. As soon as we walked in I asked if they were still serving food. In which the waitresses all looked annoyed and the cook shook his head but regardless they said we can eat. There were two other tables in there finishing up their drinks. It seemed as if the waitress purposely took a long time because she was annoyed. They weren’t super friendly – more just like give me your order and that’s it. At one point multiple of us wanted a refill on our drinks before we even got our food, and we started mentioning it amongst us. Turns out she only refilled the guys at the very end of our table and hadn’t asked anyone else – weird but okay. She eventually did come back and ask us. The food took a long time to come out even tho we could see it sitting in the window … So I feel she did that on purpose because they were annoyed we came in so late. Food tasted alright – nothing special. We only went here because Google said it was the only place in Jesup with gator and we’re from out of state and wanted to try. I got the bill and was ready to tip really well because we felt bad coming in late – like $40-50 (assuming the bill was going to be around $200). Bill came and I immediately gave her my card. Got it back and saw there was a $30 tip already on it – cool that’s fine. (saved me a couple bucks because it was less than what I was going to tip). The KINDEST the waitress had been all night was when she yelled out the door after us saying “thank you have a great night” in a really cheerful bubbly tone. Had she treated us that way all night, she would have gotten a way bigger tip than she already included on the bill. I’m sure this place is great when you don’t come in late but yeah moral of the story – don’t come in late cuz they’re rude when ya do.

Stopped here for lunch while doing the Peaches to ⛱️ Beaches yard sale wi my wife. I wanted to order the BLT but asked to sub some darker bread for the white bread Blt comes with(two other sandwiches were not available) our server was very nice but when she asked the kitchen, there kitchen said a hard no. However, both hamburgers that my wife and I ordered were prepared perfectly large, very jucy beef patties , soft warm buns. good quality lettuce. Tomatoes and pickles. Our sides of battered french fries were crispy and delicious , the celery sticks crisp and cool the house made Buttermilk ranch dressing also delicious .Our order was brought out very quickly. Our server was friendly and helpful ( the kitchen staff could use a course in customer relations However the delicious burgers and fries nice server and interesting decor are reason enough for a return visit

My daughter Brittany decided to take the family out for dinner so she took us to this great place. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated by the nicest and best waiter I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He went right to work making our visit the most enjoyable visit ever. The food and atmosphere and service is spectacular. My family made sure this young waiter knew he was appreciated as he made us feel our patronage was appreciated. I give this bar and grill 5 stars and I urge everyone to try it mostly because of the great service this young waiter gave us. Food was great also.

If you haven’t tried Alec’s, you’re missing out! The employees are extremely nice, very hard working to provide the customers with an experience that’ll keep them coming back and with the delicious food, you’d have to be crazy to not visit again! They were very respectful! Every category got a 5 star rating from me!!! The atmosphere there, it’s like a gravitational pull as if you belong there at that place, at that time! Kid friendly as well. I highly recommend anyone to stop in & grab some food, or a drink! You have nothing to lose, but a lot to gain; support local establishments because with society like it is, places like this are slowly going extinct. The owner of Alec’s Sports Bar & Grill is awesome, he has put years of effort & money into the building, and still has GREAT plans coming in the near future!! He cares for his business & his customers. I’ve personally seen him making his way around the building checking on customers, assuring they have a good visit, good food, and certainly getting their money worth! So what ya waiting for, don’t think on it too long, just give it a try and you’ll thank yourself!!!!!!

Alec’s is locally owned and has great food. We never had to wait long for the home town friendly service. Don’t forget to try the cheeseburger. You won’t be disappointed! Omelet bar was delicious.

I liked this place a lot! Burger was great! Exactly the temp I wanted! Bartender was a multitasker, and a good one! Makes an amazing Dirty Martini! I will definitely visit again!
