Loved it! Cute little college town bustling bagel shop. Things were a bit pricey but what can you expect with all these college kids around. Service was fastest and courteous. The decor was awesome, mismatched cute table and chairs. Lots of seating, great beverage selection. Coffee, bottled water, juice, chocolate milk, kombucha, etc.

They even had containers of cream cheese to buy and take home.

The bathrooms were also super cute! They had a fried egg light switch cover!! As well as wheat wallpaper in the seating area.

Grabbed a sandwich to eat in and it was delicious. Grabbed a loaf of sourdough on my way home and started eating it in the car. Will be back!

My husband and I love this place and I brought my sister here twice and she enjoyed it too. She and I come down twice a week to physical therapy at Hamilton orthopedic. We couldn’t wait to get out to go to Flour and Salt;for the first time an extremely unpleasant experience. My sister ordered a turkey sandwich on sourdough with the usual garnishes. She sat down and took a couple of bites complimented the bread , and then said, “there is no turkey on this sandwich”!. She took it all apart and there was not one single piece of turkey. She doesn’t like to complain, but she paid $18 for a turkey sandwich with no turkey. It’s almost funny (I said almost); she went back up to the counter to the girl who waited on us who said, ” oh yeah, I know we were out”!WHAT?? Again, almost funny. I don’t have to tell you what should have been done right from the beginning for example tell my sister we’re out of turkey. She said we could give you ham .. After the fact! No compensation was offered or even a humble apology. The girl was unpleasant from the time from the start. It has never been like this here! The young ladies who have waited on us have been marvelous, and the food has been equally marvelous. This was an extremely disappointing experience and embarrassing for me because I highly recommended the little café.

Good coffee and pastries. However, I bought the Brittany sandwich. It tasted great. All of the ingredients were fresh. But there was no turkey on it. I went up to the counter to let them know they forgot to put turkey on my turkey sandwich and was told, “oh, I’m sorry. We ran out of turkey!” So why didn’t they say that when I ordered it at the counter? So I paid full price for a lettuce tomato and cheese sandwich.

I absolutely LOVE this establishment. The Hal and the Colgate are both amazing entrees in their own right, but what tops it off is their wide variety of freshly made products. This place is a lovely place to go with friends who visit Hamilton for the first time, and is great for a day out and about the town. The London fogs here are great, and if you want an indulgent treat, you have to try the chocolate chip banana bread. This place is a wonderful establishment, and couldn’t recommend it enough! The only sad thing is recent price increases, but that’s nothing they can control. Overall a lovely establishment!

Best bagels I’ve ever tried, and we spent a lot of time in New York. Personally, the rugalach pastries make my mornings Wednesday- Sunday- especially before Zen Den pilates 😛

Grab a cup of coffee while you’re at it! Their baristas are expert at their craft, and the spicy mocha is short of life changing.

Atmosphere is awesome and food and drinks are delicious. With ingredients sourced from local/regional vendors, you can’t go wrong with anything here!

Clean atmosphere, nice decor.. however they don’t offer a light roast coffee… what I was charged didn’t match what was on the posted menus. Another issue was mixing blueberry, cinnamon sugar bagels with everything and jalepeno cheddar bagels… this will make the sweet bagels taste like savory bagels.

Have been here a number of times and generally enjoy the food, but not necessarily a fan of how much mayonnaise they put on their items. This morning (March 30th), the cashier who was a young lady had a terrible attitude and was rude to both my girlfriend and I for no reason other than being customers. She forgot to provide a coffee cup (after paying $2.50), then we had to wait in the long line again to retrieve it. Additionally, when ordering a baked good – she handed us an old dried out Cinnammon Roll which was essentially inedible. Not sure I’ll be returning here.
