This place was great. Very quiet atmosphere, very friendly staff. Food was soooooo good. Most places use frozen beef, but not this place. My cheeseburger was fresh, moist and cooked to perfection. The fries were perfect for me, and I love they left some skin on them. The ONLY reason its 4 stars instead of 5 is the fly that was buzzing around our table. Great place for a good belly busting meal. Highly recommended.

Had the fried mushrooms to start they were great they had used fresh mushrooms instead of frozen in a light beer batter,then had my main course of a surf and turf a demonico steak med rare with a side of broiled scallops was delicious as usual paired it with a Sam adams. Little on the prior side but worth every penny

I love this dish and this restaurant. Everyone needs to go and have the stuffed scallops at the pleasant Street restaurant. Also their French onion soup is amazing.

The service was wonderful I don’t remember my waitresses name but she was extremely friendly and always had a smile on her face when she came to our table!! Price wise I think it’s fairly decent certainly no complaints from us!!
I got stuffed shrimp which came with potato (I picked baked with butter and sour cream) and a side (coleslaw) with glass of coke and water. My date got fried scallops with a clam chowder bowl, potato (French fries), and coleslaw as well with a bottle of Budweiser. OH and can’t forget their complimentary rolls the fluffy airy ones.. I can’t think of the name of them Poppy’s or something like that ♀️ Regardless of the name they were DELICIOUS!!!
Both meals were absolutely AMAZING and it only came to $60.52. Our server was so wonderful we left her a $20 tip!!

The wait staff was very nice, but the food was rather bland with higher than average prices. The atmosphere was amazing, however. It was a good restaurant for a date, but overall I think the cost was higher than the quality of the flavor of the food, we both tried the surf and turf, and while the seafood was excellent, the steak was flavorless (though cooked very well). Also, my biggest pet peeve is not getting my water refilled, and it was never refilled even once the entire time. Nothing memorable, I will go elsewhere next date night…

The only reason I am giving this any stars is because of the customer service and experience with the bartender, Jeannie. She was wonderful. The chef on the other hand, was a huge disappointment. I ordered a 12oz Delmonico steak with mashed potatoes, green beans, a side salad, & some bread and popovers.
The bread and popovers were as dry as sand. The steak was not fully cooked when ordered medium rare. It came out with parts still RAW. I sent it back and they cooked it again. When it came back out, it was still raw in some areas. Not even close to medium rare. I did not finish my steak. A huge disappointment, especially when it comes to the good reviews this place has. Either they are paying people to leave reviews, or people have no idea what good food is. The green beans taste canned and are not fresh. The mashed potatoes are between boxed and fresh.
I expected the best based off of the reviews, but this place was not even close to meeting my criteria for dining. I will not be back unless it is to visit the bar. Thank you for the wonderful service, Jeannie.

Ok, so the thing to remember here is you get what you paid for. I ordered the $31 surf and turf; “Delmonico steak and Haddock grilled with a baked potato and cottage cheese”. The steak was thin and fatty and the haddock a little fishy tasting. I gave it a 4 because our self- described “waitress” was absolutely wonderful. She was very honest in the descriptions (green beans are canned and the the fish is fresh- for them) and I just couldn’t tell her the fish wasn’t great when she took my plate of half eaten food away. One in our party of 4 had grilled chicken and raved about it. Another had the S&T with scallops and said they were delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the grilled shrimp. The restaurant has a neighborhood feel and many of the diners were local.
All in all, I would go back. No pictures this time, but a staff of honest and hard working folks who seem to really care about their customers awaits anyone walking through their door.

Great value, staff is super friendly and helpful. We came here HUNGRY at 8:54 pm, sign said they closed at 9, let us in for excellent draft beer and cocktail, clam chowder appetizer dinner and dessert. Although it’s on a main street, the construction made it look like there would be nothing open anywhere. We are really glad that Pleasant Street restaurant was.

on May 20, i brought some family members from out of state to your restaurant .Their first time. Our food was excellent. The only other time I have had stuffed broiled scallops as perfectly done as these were was there once before. The stuffed baked shrimp was done perfectly as well. The stuffing light and tasty.
As our dinner progressed and conversation went on around us, we realized that you are closing soon.This is indeed sad news. I don’t eat out often and when I do, with or without company, I have enjoyed your establishment immensely. I don’t know the reasoning for your closing but you will be missed here in Claremont.
