This place really impressed me! Ta Contento serves amazing Mexican & Guatemalan food, and it’s now one of my go-to taco spots.
I had the Shuko de Salchicha, quesabirrias with consomé, fried plantains, and a mangonada. The quesabirria was the standout — rich, cheesy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
Definitely worth a visit — you won’t regret it!

I really enjoy spicy. Their salsa was great but adding the habanero sauce made it perfect for me. The tacos were absolutely great and the fried ice cream was incredible. Came out atop an elephant ear type of thing. So good.

A great little family spot just off Federal, we loved the food and host and will be back to taste more! Definitely try the Guatemalan dishes, and great Mexican classics round out the menu nicely. Not fancy, no booze (yet?) just great folks and food.

This place was pretty good i would say not your normal sized breakfast burrito for sure. The burrito and green chili was very flavorful the only thing i would say is i wish the green chili was more spicy. It was not spicy at all maybe my tolerance is too high but i wished they had extra hot for people like me who enjoy really spicy food. Overall this place is good give it a try. I will be back again to try more food

BEST quesabirria I have ever had in my life!
It was perfectly balanced and not overly salty. The combination of crunchiness, melted cheese, and tender meat was shockingly good! Make sure to try the nacho and salsa. On top of that, the staff were sweet and helpful, which made the whole experience better!

I always complained about Denver not having good Mexican food but I think my search is over. Their salsa for the chips, the 3 salsas (green/red/habañero), the excellent service, and of course the food was incredible. It’s obvious they try hard to maintain a high level of quality in their food and take pride in the restaurant — like, every salsa they provided (for free!) was well seasoned, distinct, and flavorful. Only got to try their breakfast burritos, smothered and not, and their birria consomme but will be back to try the rest of their menu! Wish I took a pic of the burritos but once we started we didn’t stop until it was gone.

If I could write a worse review, I would. I ordered takeout and put in the specialty section, NO MEAT. They called me to confirm that no meat should be added to my order. My order arrived full of meat. This is a no and I will tell every single person who asks me that it is a hard no. The beans, the sauce, the main entree, full of pork. I’ve never eaten meat since I was little. It taste and smells disgusting to me. When I say no meat, I mean no meat.

This place is a gem. The food was so tasty – enchiladas verde, chili rellenos, horchata, churros and ice cream…but the star was the quesabirria – the meat, the cheese, the dipping broth. It was amazing. Can’t wait to go back again!
