Have enjoyed many items on the current menu for lunch and dinner. Everything we have had has been great! Enjoyed way too much food tonight from chicken wings to burgers to chocolate cake. Our waitress was great. Food was great. Definitely make sure to get up to Tenney for lunch, dinner and some runs on the mountain.

Was a super crowded Monday due to great conditions and a “ski for free” event. They didn’t mind seating us, 2 people at a 6 person table. The Service was fast and the Guinness was a good pour. Great Chicken Sandwich as well!! Asked for extra pickles and they were happy to accommodate. The lodge is beautiful and easy to access from many runs as you come down off the mountain. Good spot to grab some food after riding the Tenney. Recommend.

First time here. It was a bit on the slow side, but I was there shortly after open.

Bartender Nancy provided excellent service with a great attitude.

Food prices are on the high side ($16-19 burgers). Drink prices seemed reasonable considering food prices.

Fun looking place although it was completely empty when I was there (again that was at open on a Sunday). A bit dark and dreary, but I don’t mind that.

Had the black and blue burger and based solely on that, I’d say the food is a step or two above “Edge of town” and “Last Chair”, the other two closest restaurants that serve largely the same menu (pizzas, burgers, etc).

I’ll definitely be going back to try some of the other menu items, and will update the review after that.

Food was great. There are new, unique menu items since my previous visit last year. Wings were fantastic. Tried the Pork Katsu and it was excellent. I have a gluten allergy in my family so it was great to see gluten free items. Live music was a nice touch. The space could use some updating but i heard that’s in the works. Overall a great experience. Will definitely be back!

This is not your ordinary ski lodge restaurant. The food, drink, and service is top notch and hands down best in the area. Our group had the pan seared rib-eye, spatzle, bratwurst with fantastic cocktails and wine. Our new go-to spot! The manager Frank was super helpful with food allergies and we had top- notch service from Drew. We can’t wait to come back!

What a difference a year makes. The new management and head chef are amazing. If you haven’t been to Back Country in a while, do yourself a favor and give it a try fo the first time again. Friendly service, comfortable atmosphere and the chef has kicked it into high gear with approachable and amazingly flavorful appetizers and main dishes. Cheers and happy ski season.

Really really good! At first we we were weary of the the small menu but what we ordered was cooked perfectly, I had the fried chicken thighs that had a unique blend of flavors that “just worked” and my wife had the burger. Nice job back country!

What a gem! We were at Backcountry for dinner this past Thursday. I had the ribeye steak and it one of the best I have had in years. Cooked to perfection with inventive sides and at a price that can’t be beat ($35). My wife had the Thai shrimp appetizer and again, it was fantastic. Service was great. Kudo’s to the staff and chef Chris! This will be a regular stop for us.

Stopped in for some dinner one Friday night since our first option was too long of a wait, but this is definitely a first option now!

The road to get there is a bit weird but just keep following the GPS and it will get you to the right spot. The place has lots of space and tables and it looks like they could even put more tables, but it’s a ski lodge so there has to be some open room. There isn’t a ton of decoration on the walls or anything, but it’s a simple lodge type building with some tvs and cornhole to play even. And they have a sweet outdoor area next to the waterfall, that we unfortunately couldn’t sit at since it was raining.

But there was 8 of is in our party including 2 young kids, and the staff was very nice the whole time and check in on us when appropriate. The drinks came out a tad slow but they seemed a little busy so that wasn’t a big deal. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The crust was crispy, it was cooked to perfection. It had the right amount if toppings too. It’s about the size of a personal pizza, maybe a tad bigger so one pizza is enough for one person. Other people got some burgers and those looked really good and juicy. They also looked like they had a big thick patty so those would have been filling too. All the food looked and tasted amazing, I give these guys a lot of credit. This is a hidden gem that we will definitely remember!
