Hungry traveling mechanic, had to bang a U turn when I saw the name of this restaurant, and the BBQ flag flying! Let me tell you, my meat was awesome! I got the two meat combo (brisket and pulled pork)with mac n cheese and slaw, absolutely delicious to the last drop! The brisket, nice smokey juicy tender bite of delight!! The pulled pork, also flavor town! The chef let me try the different BBQ sauce flavors and there’s a wide variety for all taste buds! I liked the mustard style sauce. Can’t recommend it enough, good portion, great price. Don’t meet me there beat me there!

How’s Your Meat is an absolute hidden gem. The food is flat-out amazing, the service from owner Stephen is just outstanding, and the entire place is always very clean and well-maintained.
I’ve had everything on the menu, from the crazy good ribs to all the different sandwiches, and it’s all perfect every time. Stephen clearly puts his heart into this place—it shows in the quality of the food and how well he treats everyone, even when he’s running the whole spot solo!
My only gripe? You gotta catch them! They’re only open three days a week, which just means you have to plan ahead. Honestly, the biggest stress in my week is making sure I don’t miss one of their open days!
If you’re looking for fantastic BBQ in Boston, you have to try this spot. The food, the service, and the always clean environment all make it a winner. Just make sure you check their hours first! 5/5 stars, no question.

Stopped in the new location on West Roxbury, I tried “The Classic” the brisket burger, and it was so much better than I imaged. The meat was so tender and the BBQ sauce was amazing. I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu. I highly recommend stopping in for some amazing food.

I decided to stop by and try today. And boy, am I glad I did. I grabbed a 2 meat combo, ribs and brisket with Carolina vinegar sauce. Mac n cheese and coleslaw sides. My son grabbed a burger. Everything was excellent. Considering the level of food you’re getting, the prices are more than fair. It says on the website that everything is smoked for 14 hours. There is no doubt about it, you can taste it. I’ve had some BBQ in my day. I’ll put this right up there with the best of them. We’ll definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu. Service is prompt, the owner is very friendly. I highly recommend stopping by and checking the place out. You will not be disappointed.

I had the absolute pleasure to have one of the best brisket sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. From the first bite to the last, every element was spot on. The brisket itself was incredibly tender, with just the right amount of smoky flavor. You could tell it had been slow-cooked to perfection—each bite was juicy, with that beautiful balance between lean and fatty portions. The bark on the brisket added a subtle crunch and packed a punch of seasoning without overpowering the meat.

The BEST food… Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve tried the corned beef, brisket, burger, chicken, pulled pork, corned bread, cole slaw, potato salad, collard greens, ribs…… All were excellent. I promise you will enjoy!
Adding one more item- the pastrami was seriously the best I’ve ever had. Great smoky flavor.

I was searching for a place to get food because I really wanted some ribs. Found this place and I was so excited to try it out. I ordered 2 2-meat combo with chicken wings, pork ribs, one with coleslaw and mac and cheese. The other with potato salad, and mac and cheese. Everything was so delicious, my family loved it and I plan on going back again.
