I’ve been coming to Hard Bean for a few months now and can say they have never disappointed. They offer many options and different flavors. I highly recommend their matcha and chai tea if you aren’t a coffee drinker. You can definitely taste the quality difference to other companies. I have tried their Banana Matcha and Coconut Caramel Matcha multiple times and the quality/flavor is very consistent. Their food options are delicious and their environment is very welcoming, coming from someone who spends hours there at a time. The service is great and friendly, I highly recommend.

First impressions are everything; and Hard Bean Merrick is everything. Upon entering you are greeted with a completely different atmosphere; introduced to a crisp scent of coffee beans, gentle auxiliary music, intentional yet subtle decor, and a wonderful staff. The service from the staff is rather exceptional, as they serve with care, make the drinks and food with passion, and maintain the cafe to its upmost cleanest possible condition. The food is amazing, personally, I am a fan of the roast beef smith st. Sandwich paired with a Montana coffee drink. I do recommend you try the iced shaken espresso as they seem to be the main attraction of the cafe. With all possible amenities included (free WiFi, clean private bathroom, sofa seating, outlets, and plenty of seating) there is not a reason I wouldn’t come back on a regular basis. Hard Bean Merrick is truly dominating the cafe industry on Long Island, I just hope you as the reader decide to visit this marvelous place as well.

Hardbean is the best small coffee business you can visit with the best working atmosphere. Their iced shaken espresso is INSANE and incomparable to other stores. My personal favorite is the tiramisu and pumpkin pie. They also have really yummy breakfast sandiwches and lunch sandwiches. Highly recommend to everybody and will definitely be back soon to try their matcha!!

Never have I been so delighted to have sipped on such a refreshing beverage. Out of the various different drinks I have tried, not a single one has left me disappointed. The satisfaction I feel from these drinks are the sole reason I can get up out of bed and on time for work. The depth of thought gone into the layout of the cafe, as well as the paintings on the wall would have you think Vincent van Gogh him self visited to decorate this place. I am truly grateful this amazing establishment has opened up in the town I call my home. Thank you hard bean for you and your generous staff, I am lucky to experience the honest, hardworking, and gregarious staff and their service.

One of my favorite cafes on Long Island! Their iced shaken espresso with coconut cold foam is my go-to, and I love that you can pick your own cold foam flavor, it’s such a nice touch. The coffee is rich, smooth, and honestly addictive. The owner is super sweet and really cares about his customers, which makes the experience even better Perfect spot to unwind with a sweet treat. Highly recommend.

Had the banana matcha and the cinnamon bun iced shaken espresso. Both were delicious. The matcha looks a little light, could use some more, but I still tasted the matcha. Will be back.
4 stars because it’s pretty pricey. The food is overpriced in my opinion. I can’t justify spending $13 on a sandwich even if it is fresh and delicious. I still go back for drinks every now and then.

Probably my favorite coffee shop on Long Island. I drive 30 minutes to get the iced shaken espresso with coconut cold foam on top. The owner is so sweet, always takes the time to talk to his customers, and works hard — there every day. And their couches are so comfortable lol. Please try this place out! I recommend their iced shaken espressos and banana matcha, but they have a wide selection for everyone to be happy with something.
