Delicious food. The lunch specials were still very generous portion sizes. The sweet and sour soup had a wonderful flavor and the crab Rangoon was perfect.

Excellent food served by thoughtful wait staff in a pleasant environment. Generous portions of very tasty dishes prepared to a spice level of your choosing. The medium spice level was actually fairly mild on the main courses, but we ordered level 4 on the papaya salad which was quite hot. Real Thai ice tea is always a treat. Recommend highly for a great meal out.

Went there for lunch in a weekday. The food size is small compared to the price. Also there’s not enough staff in weekday so I waited a bit for order and checking out (understandable though). The atmosphere and decoration is nice though, and walkable to the shores.

Be prepared to spin the block at least 5 to 6 times before you get a parking spot.I was working nearby and wantedvto try this restaurant out.Because it’s free you can’t really complain too much, plus the Farmers market on Saturday wasn’t helping either.

I’ll start off first with my impression of the place.Small, cozy and Thai inspired decor playing jazzy music on the speaker.A nice place for a date or for the older crowd such as myself. The manager was polite as well.

The food came out promptly within 15 minutes or less in some very good sturdy take out containers with strong plastic cutlery.Ill be reusing this to store items in my cooler.I knew this business cared when I seen this.
Now on to the food.Like mentioned from DMV to Cali,im vegetarian and stick to the basics when i cant afford to spurge.Tofu fried rice with no eggs and spring rolls.

The rice could have used more seasoning, but I suppose it works for those needing less sodium such as myself. It was delicious and will order again.Peanut sauce was definitely of the highest quality and made in house im willing to bet.The tofu spring rolls were a lettuce fiesta.1 small strip of tofu and a mountain of (I think)Romaine underneath it.I wasn’t really feeling all the lettuce vs Tofu so I probably won’t be getting this again.

The total was like $31 and change,so I probably won’t be getting anything here for a while, but it was ok to try out.

My first time being here. I was not impressed.

Ambiance:
Nice decor and inviting. Liked the waiting wooden bench with heart pillows.

Ordered:
-Pork Salad (listed $15.95 on the menu, check $16.95)- a bit on the salty side and the ground pork was rough
-Lunch Eggplant Tofu $14.95- my friend shared it was good
-Mango Sweet Rice $8.95- mango slices were sweet and coconut sauce was creamy delicious, not overly sweet. They ran out of sweet rice. Discounted price from $12.95 down to $8.95

Service: 4/5 for male, 3/5 for female
We had a good experience with the male staff, polite and cordial. The female staff, however when I asked for lime after she delivered our glasses of water, she behaved as though I troubled her for asking lol

For a party of 2, one customer should not have to wait for the other customer’s meal to be served. Their food should be delivered simultaneously especially when the restaurant was not busy at all. Don’t think I will be back here again…

Note:
The price they charge you might not coincide with the ones on the menu

This place is kinda hidden away on the streets of prospect, hopefully people don’t miss it! The restaurant inside is very nice and has outdoor and indoor seating available. Good variety on the menu but not so big where it’s gonna overwhelm you. Service was very good. My thai tea was easily some of the best I’ve ever had. It was very rich in flavor. I recommend that big time. I got drunken noodle and my wife got penang curry. The drunken noodles were very tasty, and good pieces of chicken. The penang curry was so delicious like the best I have ever had and I was suprised. This place is a little on the pricier side considering its location and even the large food portions but it’s definitely worth it. Tried a 3 thai places in La Jolla and so far this is the MVP.

Super cute restaurant with great service and ambiance. We really enjoyed the satay chicken as an appetizer. It was very tender and full of flavor. The duck fried rice and kapow thai Kai Dow dishes were fantastic. We ordered the fried banana with ice cream for dessert – highly recommend!!

One of my friends recommended me to visit King of Thai Cuisine for some Thai food while visiting La Jolla Cove in San Diego. After checking out their website, I was tempted by their menu. The pictures on their website looked beautiful and delicious and was the deciding factor for me to give the place a try. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly owners and staff. The atmosphere was well decorated, very clean and beautiful. We tried a variety of foods and it was an overall good experience with delicious food, leaving my craving for Thai food satisfied.

Great new Thai place! This location on Girard has been a few different Thai restaurants, but this is the best one yet. It has a very nice atmosphere on the patio and inside. It’s relaxed but still seems elegant in a Thai sort of way.
We had the fresh spring rolls with tofu and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. Anywhere! Totally fresh and vegan, don’t miss them. Nice peanut sauce and a complete spice tray let’s you enjoy it the way you want.
Our mains were pumpkin curry and tofu soup. Both were excellent, the pictures tell the story. The curry had lots of pumpkin and the sauce was nice. The tofu came fried, and I think it would have been better soft. Be aware that this spice level is very low, much milder than you’d expect. I ordered it 4 out of 10 and there was hardly any real zing to it. Don’t order less than a 5 if you’re after authentic flavor. And if you really like spicy dishes you should go an 8 or higher.
Their menu notes the vegan dishes and I noticed the red curry didn’t show it. It turns out that it uses fish sauce and they let me substitute the yellow curry which doesn’t have it. The service was super nice be well informed and flexible.
They have Singha and a decent beer selection. It’s really a great place to eat in SD.
