There is only one single negative I have about this establishment, THE COFFEE, the first time my husband and I ate here, the coffee was fantastic, better coffee than the Pilot. However, last night, the coffee was super weak, like hot water with a hint of coffee, I was told it was because they changed brands, but it was very disappointing, another table nearby agreed that theyve been here a few times, and the new coffee wasn’t good at all, but it was cold out, so we were all trying to warm ourselves, but honestly, if the restaurant switches to a better coffee, with a more robust flavor, I know myself and other would be absolutely delighted.
Now on to the rest of the review, this place is fantastic, my husband and I try to go out of our way to eat here if we can. Both times weve ordered the steaks, and the kitchen did a fantastic job fulfilling our orders. They made a perfect rare steak for me, and perfect medium rare for my husband, definitely hope that never changes. The triple greens are my favorite side personally, the salads were great. Mac n cheese was a bit bland, I didn’t finish it, I think with a little tweaking, it could be really delicious mac n cheese, it was more of a milky taste than cheesey. My husband loves the green beans, all in all we were both happy with our orders, and hope the quality of food won’t diminish over time.
The service is phenomenal, I believe our servers name was Ceecee (forgive me if im wrong or misspelled it) she is a fantastic server, both times shes taken great care of us.
You just wouldn’t expect it from the outside, how delicious the food is inside, but its worth the stop.

I dont write many negative reviews. I had high hopes for this place. My brother stopped in had good things to say about it.
Sat down, a drunk lady comes in behind me sits down continuing to drink that was there already. The waitress drinks with her. While they are screwing off and bragging that there is tables waiting. I noticed a smell. Look around see a drain with mold on it. Looking around more see a huge water puddle IN THE KITCHEN FLOOR.
As im watching the kitchen staff clean the water they are all vaping. Did I mention the owner of the restaurant was there for all of this.
I got my food before all of this. I got a ribeye and shrimp. The steak was cooked well the green beans we over seasoned with Cajon seasoning. While im eating was with I noticed the smell and what was going on. I stopped eating.
At least the beer was cold. I drink another beer and the owner and two waitresses we talking and left me unattended for 10 or 15 minutes.
Ill be calling the health department tomorrow I really hope they clean this place up.

We ordered steak and BBQ pork steak. It was very delicious. Even though it was late, they were very courteous. Thank you very much. The 10% discount for truck drivers was very much appreciated. We will definitely be back.

Was here with a big group of family with no prior notice, and have to say, they did a great job. Food was good, and service was excellent. We had one waitress for the entire table, and she did a fantastic job at keeping up with everyone’s orders, and refilling drinks. I really liked the catfish and grilled shrimp! The onion rings weren’t my favorite, but pretty much everything else was great.

If passing by and hungry its a must stop. Burger was really good and had a really good bun (sourdough I think). Strips are HUGE and very good. The Nachos also huge and are typical bar Nachos. All the dishes are more than I could eat in 1 setting. Don’t stop and eat a nasty fast food joint check this place out.

Dang good food with fun and attentive servers! Had the catfish plate, swimmingly good fried fish and very good mac and cheese!! The Mac was so good I finished it first, wish I had gotten a double serving. Catfish was good with 4 pieces being more than I could eat. Ended up with a piece to take home as a tasty leftover snack. I’ll definitely be stopping in at Home Plate again.
