I am a huge fan of raku so my expectations were high but Don Udon exceeded them all. The environment is so cozy just like a local spot in Japan and the udon noodles are bouncy while sitting in the flavorful rich but clean broth. The Niku beef is incredible and soooo thin but so so tasty. Just warms your soul. Also got a side of the cucumber unagi and highly rec. unagi quality is like that of an omakase. You order and pay through your phone so very fast and efficient!! Support local

I have never been to Japan and I have always wanted to go, but I feel like walking into this beautiful little gem gave me a small taste of it. We were instantly greeted and seated at the bar as soon as we walked in. Seriously, it’s like one moment you’re in the streets of Brooklyn and the next you’re in a cute little Japanese udon noodle shop. They did a stellar job at creating the atmosphere with the decoration and their hospitality.
It doesn’t stop there though. Literally, your sense of taste is also transported with their high quality food infused with the very spirit of their hospitality. The beef udon here was the best I’ve ever had and is what I would imagine it would taste like in Japan. It is so comforting. It’s like someone giving your taste buds a hug and praying over it. The flavors are so homey and the texture of the udon is perfectly al dente. The beef was tender and the ratio of everything was balanced just right.
We also got the unagi don, and the server offered a small bottle of shishio pepper powder which complimented the dish perfectly. It added a nice layer of flavor to the already smokey and delicious unagi. The pickled veggies on the side were so well done and went right along with the whole meal.
This meal was probably the most satisfying to have and experience during our stay in NY, and we will be sure to come back next time we’re in town! Bless!

The place is small and cozy feels like a local restaurant in Japan. You can scan Qr code for order and the food comes out in few minutes. We ordered Kitsune Udon-Curry rice set and Cold Ddon – Gyu Don set. The food here was deliciously and so reasonable priced with great portion sizes.

Such a cute place!!! We tried the kitsune udon and the beef udon which were both great! We also did the curry rice add-on which as just as amazing. You scan using a Qr and the food comes out in about 5 minutes which I felt was super efficient! The place is small and cozy and they also have plenty of outdoor space! Highly recommend for a great dinner!!

Was looking for a quick and hot meal to warm up from the cold, hit the mark perfectly. Ordering is done through a QR code and every menu item has a clear photo attached, makes it very easy to pick and choose your meal and add-ons. Owner is a nice Japanese man, and the interior is decorated in a very Showa Japan era style, feels incredibly homey. Udon itself was slightly chewy just the way I like, and the broth leans a little sweet but nice and light, perfect.

Don Udon is a small gem that delivers huge flavor. No reservations or delivery, just incredible udon. Enjoying the food, fresh and right away as intended. The noodles are perfect and the broth is delicious, every bowl feels thoughtfully made. Hits every time I go, once you’ve had a bowl you’ll want to make this a staple.

My favorite spot in the neighborhood never lets me down. What makes it special to me is the consistency. I know exactly what I’m going to get—a warm, satisfying bowl that hits the spot every single time. It’s the kind of place I crave on busy days, lazy days, or honestly any day. Nothing fancy, just really good food that feels like home.

I’ve been to Japan three times and coming to Don Udon felt like I was instantly transported back to Tokyo. Highly recommend and I would definitely come back.
Once you are seated, you can order with your phone (and pay via your phone) or they take cash as well. If you’re waiting in line, they have stools outside for you to sit.
My friend and I went on a rainy Monday night around 8 PM and waited about 10 to 15 minutes. I got the kitsune udon without anything and it was a pretty light dinner. Prices are very reasonable here, great value. Service is quick.
There is one bathroom.

Had the small portion of eel and the beef udon. The udon was really nice and had a very flavourful broth. I was served really fast. The udon was garnished with yuzu peel which was a really lovely touch, but maybe could’ve used more scallion to balance the richness. The flavour of the eel was so so good, i wish i got the larger rice bowl. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
