The Baseline
The Baseline: For a sit down semi-casual restaurant is the quality of the food, existence of any unique offerings, quality of the service, and value of the overall dining experience.

Food: The food is pretty decent/good and overall is not amazing but you are really coming here for experience over food. We got the nachos, Prehistoric Pasta, and the Brontosaurus burger. The nachos were big and would service a group well but are comparable to bar/casual restaurant nachos. The pasta is the same that it is comparable to what you would get at a casual restaurant but the portion size was a good size. The burger was better than average and was a double patty. The fries that came with the burger were “bag fries” but were well cooked. The drinks were really nice though even though they were not hand crafted cocktails they were tasty and fit the theme of the restaurant.

Service: Considering how busy these servers are we had great service. I had to flag our server down but she was managing a bunch of tables. Good service when we came.

Ambiance: This is the reason you dine at this restaurant. Animatronic dinosaurs and prehistoric mammoths. There is a Jurassic storm that happens every 15 or so minutes. The fun theme makes the experience fun. We ran into probably 7 birthday songs when we were there which is fun for the kids. It is definitely touristy but you are usually a tourist if you are at Disney Springs.

This was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had. Food was very good, drinks were amazing and their presentation was like in no other place. The whole interior and the show that goes on every 5-10 minutes were just so great and we were so happy to be there. Our server Millie was very attentive and nice as well. I had the Megasaurus Burger and it was really big and nice, my girlfriend had the Grain Bowl and she liked it a lot too.

This was a really fun experience. Reservations are a must! No matter where you’re seated, you’ll have a great view as the entire restaurant is full of life-sized dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. The meteor shower is really cool and happens every 20 minutes or so. There’s a build-a-Dino workshop at the entrance of the restaurant, and a fossil dig outside.

T-Rex Cafe in Disney Springs is a fun and immersive experience. The atmosphere is over the top in the best way and instantly brings back memories. The food was good, the service was stellar, and the whole visit felt nostalgic, especially remembering coming here as a kid at the KC location.

Since it’s located in Disney Springs, it gets very popular, especially during peak meal times, so reservations are strongly recommended. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for something entertaining and family friendly with solid food and great staff. Definitely worth the visit.

The cafe lived up to both my & my 16yo daughter’s expectations! I’d even say T-rex exceeded them. Service was rather quick, very attentive, & they even invited us to explore the restaurant while we waited for our food. My kid LOVES dinosaurs & even though the animatronics were quite outdated, she enjoyed them & thought they were fabulous. The whole place was just enough, decor was thoughtfully placed, & overall made for a lovely, fun, atmospheric dining experience. (The fossil displays in the restroom were also a nice touch.) Highly recommend.

We attended a birthday party for a child. The children’s package included a complete meal and a Build-A-Bear! Very nice restaurant to celebrate and gather with family. Good food and margaritas. The animated Dinosaurs and the decorations were awesome. The service was very good. I did expect quicker service for a birthday reservation but it took awhile for the food to come out. The prices were high in my opinion for a regular burger and fries but I understand you’re paying for the experience. I would visit again.

We visited T-Rex Café at Disney Springs with our two children, and it was truly a fantastic experience — especially for kids.

This is not just a restaurant, it feels like stepping into a completely different world. Every 20 minutes there is an exciting show: the animals move, the lights change, and the entire space comes alive. We were seated in the Ice Age cave, and it was absolutely magical — glowing, sparkling, and constantly changing. It really felt like being inside a special adventure rather than just having a meal.

Even the waiting time was enjoyable. While we were waiting for our table, the kids were able to explore the gift shop nearby, which made the wait much easier and actually fun for them.

The food did take a bit of time to arrive, but honestly, it was worth the wait. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the highlight of the evening was definitely the dessert presentation with smoke — the kids were absolutely amazed and thrilled. The ice cream was delicious and the presentation was unforgettable. While the cake itself could be improved in terms of flavor, it didn’t take away from the overall experience at all.

We all truly enjoyed ourselves, and despite the small food detail, we would absolutely give this place five stars. A must-visit spot for families with children visiting Disney Springs.

The atmosphere is AMAZING !! Very cool decoration and once in a while the lighting changes. The service was great and efficient. Food was quick although I would recommend you make a reservation if not it might take hours. My little brother ordered tricera-sticks and it didn’t come on sticks? Not that it’s that big of a deal but just incase you have a picky child. Me and 3 other family members ordered the ceaser salad and the protein was great on all of them but there was definitely too much sauce. The taste was overpowering and none of us were able to finish. In conclusion, service and atmosphere is great but make sure to order light sauce on the salad.

Had an awesome meal at T-REX Café! I got the Chicken Fried Chicken with country gravy, red-skinned mashed potatoes, seasonal veggies, and a half rack of ribs on the side — everything was delicious and super filling. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside, and the gravy was perfect. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone good!

The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere even with all the fun dinosaur theming — it’s loud and lively in a good way, great for families or anyone who loves a themed experience. Service was friendly and quick. Definitely worth a visit if you’re at Disney Springs!

I absolutely love this restaurant!!! I’ve been here many times and it is by far the most fun restaurant to visit at Disney Springs. Every so often a meteor shower goes off in the building with lights flashing and animatronic dinosaurs moving. I recommend ordering the meteor meatloaf, it’s so delicious and not the most expensive item in the menu. If you go with a group of friends, be sure to order the chocolate extinction dessert! It’s 4 large pieces of chocolate fudge cake (VERY dense, beware of how filling it is!) and 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream all on a really neat display. I highly encourage you to make a reservation way ahead of time if you can, otherwise they do take walk-ins. If you do a walk in on a busy day, you’ll be waiting around an hour or more for your table. Put your name in at the front counter when you first arrive at Disney Springs then while you’re waiting do all your shopping!
