It still wasn’t ready when I walked in. I had to wait 5 minutes more for it to be ready. This isn’t that big of an issue but why would the app tell you it’s ready and 2 of 3 things that I ordered were NOT ready. Like an old buddy of mine once said, “People will pay whatever you ask, 9$ for a coffee!!, but they just don’t like to wait for it.”
I was greeted when I entered which was good. And rare for some places these days sadly. But there we are. It was also decently clean which is good to see in a Pizza Hut. At least they keep it appearing tidy.
Now for the heaviest criticism, why don’t pizza places EVER cut things properly. You have to yank apart your breads or crusts or work for what you’re trying to eat. Maybe push your utensils a little bit harder and cut your food for the customers? Again, even the wait you give your customer when they’re sitting down and eating by having to pull and tug’o’war on the pizza with the neighboring slice is just frustrating. It also has a higher risk of tearing the next piece of pizza in half and ruining that slice. Now I look fatter because I appeared to be taking 1.65 slices at once. Not cool! (But tastier)
Usually Pizza Hut has a great flavor. But even the bacon cheddar bread sticks were bland. Yes, bacon, bland— somehow, some way. The pizza also wasn’t a popping taste. So that was unfortunate.
And yet another industry mystery, the tip is required BEFORE you get your food. BEFORE you work with the employees of the business. How is this even applicable. Much less, tipping in a newer society that has people who are less willing to work, do poorer work, and serving sizes and presentation have become sadder than ever! I’m crying pizza tears over here as I tear my 1.65 pizza slices. More places are asking for tips that don’t even seem to warrant it. Did I mention food costs have rocketed to the heavens? And we are to tip on top of that to a mystery future service we can’t properly gauge. All of this said I’m a tipper. But I also believe in talking about things. Politics can be a form of cowardice. And who can grow without constructive criticism? Not many of us.
I used to deliver 500-800lb copy machines. I was never tipped once in 4.5 years of rockstar service and employment. Now THAT is a tippable service.
I hope the best for y’all and wish Godspeed to the business and your sales!
My pizza was good too!
