Seasonal pier pop-up with tacos so good they’re basically local legend. Prices are on the high side (like most Alaskan eats), but worth the bite. Plan on 1 taco for a light meal, 2 for a heavy meal, 3 if you’re ready to let your diet blow away with the Homer wind.
Corn lovers will have plenty to enjoy, though options are limited if you’re corn-free. Seating is outdoors and shared with neighboring shops, so expect wind, rain, and yard games to keep the kids busy while you sip and taco it all in.

What a great little spot! The tacos are amazing. We tried the rockfish, halibut, and carne asada and they were outstanding. You can get a cup of wine for $6. We will definitely come here again. This was our first time trying it! Outside seating only. Order at the window. Tori was the best. Super sweet and helpful!

Swell Tacos is an amazing restaurant! I had the cheeky halibut taco, which was grilled halibut, and birria taco. My husband got the fried Rockfish tacos. Everything was so delicious, but the Rockfish tacos knocked us off our feet so much we went back and got more of them before I got my tattoo!

We were in town fishing with family. We decided to grab dinner here before heading back to our cabin. We ordered the fried rockfish and birria tacos. We got 2 each and a side of the pineapple habanero salsa. I ordered the double shovel, and my husband ordered the Grace Ridge and a coconut limeade. Our tacos took a little bit of time to be ready for about 20 minutes. We did not realize that the alcohol had to stay on their separated dining area until they were gone, we had a large party, which we ordered all together, 7 people. They don’t have seating to accommodate our group. It would have been nice for the server to let us know that when we placed the order. So we quickly drank our drinks and then joined the rest of our family. They have pretty fresh lupin decorating their tables. Our food was called after about 20 minutes of placing the order. It was hot and delicious. The amount of meat on each taco was wonderful! The salsa was great too. We each ate 2 tacos and were stuffed. The coconut limeade needs to be stirred often as you drink it since it does separate.

Well that was one SWELL taco let me tell you!! Holy smokes, great flavors! Food was so fresh and bursting with bright flavors, probably the best taco I’ve ever had. I don’t say that lightly! I ordered the avocado and rockfish tacos and they were absolutely amazing. Friendly staff!

It took me a long time to finally try this place, but now that I have I’ve been back 5 times this summer! I’ve tried most of the menu at this point and hope to make it again before they close! My personal favorite is the rockfish tacos, but highly recommend the avocado and the birria as well. The ceviche is a good portion and the chips are well-seasoned.
The outside seating is awesome rain or shine and there always seems to be a good crowd.

Fantastic & friendly service, excellent tacos & sides (they’re tortillas are made from scratch everyday & all the meats are house made). The Birria is our favorite They have a variety of drinks (alcoholic & non) and are a gluten free kitchen. A must on the Homer Spit!

We ate at Swell after a long hike. We ordered a lot of food, including avocado, cheeky halibut, and rockfish tacos, as well as elote. Service was incredibly fast and everyone was so friendly and accommodating to children’s picky tastes. Coconut limeade was spectacular – seriously the best meal we’ve had up here! My kids required a second taco and scarfed them down. Thanks for a great experience!
